Background / History

Tang San is a transmigrator from the Tang Sect whose sect heritage had already deteriorated in his original era. He retains the Tang Sect’s internal cultivation, hidden weapons, poison arts, and secret techniques. At Shrek Academy, he discovers that Bai Ge is likewise a fellow countryman from another era; the two bond over the lost legacies of the Tang Sect and Heavenly Strategy while sharing a dormitory 11.

He enters Shrek as a level-29 control-type Soul Master with Blue Silver Grass as his primary martial soul. Though he trains under Grandmaster, his innate full soul power is attributed to the Clear Sky Hammer and the Mysterious Heaven Skill he began cultivating as a child 10 56.

Bai Ge later reveals Tang San’s parentage: he is the son of Tang Hao, the Clear Sky Douluo, and Ah Yin, the hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor. Titan of the Strength Clan recognizes Tang San’s Clear Sky Hammer and addresses him as “Young Master” because of his connection to Tang Hao 30 71.

After Ah Yin is revived, Tang San reunites with both parents. Absorbing Ah Yin’s right leg soul bone awakens his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline and raises him to rank 40 74.

After absorbing the Man Faced Demon Spider Soul Ring, Tang San undergoes a major physical transformation. His body becomes more muscular, his bronze skin carries a faint lavender glow, and a conspicuous purple lock appears among his black hair 31.

Tang San is calm, analytical, and highly adaptable in battle. He combines Soul Master techniques with Tang Sect methods, rapidly identifying opponents’ strengths, poisons, and weaknesses. His confidence in poison arts is backed by extensive practical knowledge, as demonstrated when he accurately diagnoses Dugu Bo’s long-term poisoning 20 62.

He is fiercely protective of Xiao Wu. After the Titan Giant Ape takes her, Tang San ignores his severe injuries, secretly obtains a Flying Mushroom Sausage, and pursues her alone. He is prepared to retrieve her body even if she has already died 24 25.

Although usually composed, he can be embarrassed or thrown off balance by Bai Ge’s remarks about subjects unfamiliar to his more traditional upbringing 20 37.
