Campus

History

Lin Fan was exceptionally admitted after solving Zhou's Conjecture, despite having missed the college entrance examination because of earlier family circumstances. He enrolled as a student, joined Room 104, and was assigned counselor Sun Yaodong. 17 23 146

The university's profile changed sharply after Lin Fan's mathematical work. Its team won the Higher Education Cup despite not attending the defense, while Lin Fan's research attracted domestic and international scholars to major campus report conferences. 84 89 289 448

Jiangbei City's top leader, Jiao Yang, visited the university to recognize Lin Fan's work on Zhou's Conjecture and the Twin Prime Conjecture. The university had sought to protect Lin Fan's privacy by restricting media interviews, though Jiao Yang advocated a public awards ceremony and presented a 500,000-yuan bonus. 101
