Episode 12: The Seven Parts of the Abyss of Destruction

"The bottommost level?" Luo Feng smiled.

Even for him, reaching the bottommost thirty-fourth level gave him quite a sense of accomplishment. After all, this was the Abyss of Destruction, one of the Three Poles of the Infinite Primal Chaos Space. Among all the Ancestors and Lords, he was the first to reach this place.

"Are you the World Envoy of this bottommost Destruction World?" Luo Feng did not make a move immediately, instead asking curiously.

It was rare to encounter a World Envoy capable of communication. Luo Feng wanted to learn some of the Abyss of Destruction's secrets from it.

"Yes." The hooded figure smiled.

"The World Envoys of the previous thirty-three levels seemed to possess little intelligence," Luo Feng said. Those World Envoys had acted more on instinct.

"They are not qualified to compare with me," the hooded figure said. "As for possessing intelligence, whether Innate Primal Chaos Lifeforms or you Source World lifeforms, all possess intelligence. Since I was born from the Abyss of Destruction, is it not perfectly normal for me to have intelligence as well?"

"You know I am a Source World lifeform?" Luo Feng was surprised.

"The Abyss of Destruction gathers the hatred, killing intent, resentment, and other emotions of all living beings. Through this, it can naturally observe the ecology of the entire Infinite Primal Chaos Space," the hooded figure said. "Though I cannot leave the Abyss of Destruction by even half a step, I may know more than you do."

"Do the Eternal Land and the Wall of Fiery Hell, which are on the same level as the Abyss of Destruction, also contain intelligent beings?" Luo Feng asked.

"Perhaps," the hooded figure said.

Luo Feng understood this as well. The Ancestors and Lords knew very little about those two places and had not even seen their cores. Even if intelligent beings had been born there, the threshold for encountering them was likely extremely high.

"You may attack me now," the hooded figure said. "I differ from the World Envoys of the previous thirty-three levels. Once you defeat me, you will completely control the Destruction World."

"Control the Destruction World?" Luo Feng's heart stirred.

Previously, when he had entered the hidden place, the Mountain of Destruction, he had learned that one could control the Abyss of Destruction by passing the Seven Trials.

Yet this World Envoy said that defeating it would allow him to control the Destruction World.

"What is the difference between controlling the Destruction World and controlling the Abyss of Destruction?" Luo Feng asked.

"The Abyss of Destruction is divided into seven parts," the hooded figure said. "The Destruction World has the lowest threshold. You may enter it directly and descend level by level. As long as you fight through all thirty-four levels of the Destruction World, you can control the Destruction World. The Destruction World's power is roughly one-seventh of the Abyss of Destruction's."

"What about the other six parts?" Luo Feng asked curiously.

"They all have thresholds for exploration," the hooded figure said. "For example, the Mountain of Destruction you entered is the core of the Abyss of Destruction. That mountain contains the power of three parts. If you can pass the sixth of the Seven Trials, you can also obtain part of the power. As for the rest? You have not encountered them, so it would not be appropriate for me to tell you."

Luo Feng was secretly shocked.

The Destruction World was one portion of power, the Mountain of Destruction concealed three portions, and passing six trials could yield another portion. That made five portions. Clearly, he had yet to encounter the remaining two.

"The seven portions of power may have different controllers," the hooded figure said. "And once some great existence passes the Seven Trials, they will completely take control of the entire Abyss of Destruction. Your powers will also be completely stripped away."

Luo Feng understood. They were still competitors.

"Your blade technique is quite powerful." A calm voice sounded as the black mist rapidly condensed into water. The black water was immensely heavy as it crushed toward him.

Even Luo Feng's blade lights could only barely cut apart some of the black water. As it flowed, the black water continued to suppress him, and the layers of blade light ultimately had no choice but to collapse.

"Just its domain is enough to make me unable to move an inch?" Luo Feng frowned. Unless the Lords and Ancestors outside joined forces in a group, how could they possibly possess such deterrence?

"Sever!"

The 1.08 billion sources within Luo Feng's body frantically burned energy. His fleshly body began to partially transform into energy as endless power erupted in an instant. Luo Feng and the Sky-Rending Blade became one, transforming into an incomparably condensed blade light.

The forbidden move of the Destruction Blade Technique—One Cut Two Pieces!

The Power of Severance was the first Destruction Power Luo Feng had mastered, and his Mind Will was especially compatible with this path. Among the Primal Chaos Blade Path he had created, Luo Feng naturally played to his strengths and created many blade moves centered on severing.

The blade light swept past, directly severing the chain.

This forbidden move had originally been created to cut down enemies. Luo Feng was now using it to cut through thorns and brambles, hoping to reach the Primal Chaos Shadow with it.

Yet more and more chains condensed from the black water, one after another closing in. The severed chains voluntarily dissipated, while new chains formed before the blade light.

There were thirty-four chains in total, but they gathered and dispersed unpredictably, able to form anywhere within this level of the Destruction World.

After one was severed, a new chain would intercept Luo Feng ahead of him.

The chains curled around and interwove with one another, continuously closing in.

Puff puff puff—

After severing hundreds of chains in succession, the terrifying blade light Luo Feng had transformed into finally weakened. The moment its momentum slowed, chains immediately closed in. In the blink of an eye, they bound Luo Feng's true body.

Boom—

A terrifying explosion erupted, instantly annihilating all thirty-four chains binding him and even wiping out a small portion of the surrounding black water.

But the area annihilated by the explosion was too small. Supplied by the endless power of the Destruction World, the black water immediately surged forth once more, and another thirty-four chains condensed again.

"The forbidden move of the Primal Chaos Battle Technique only blew open such a small area?" Luo Feng's body, condensed from his remaining power, could only take an immediate step back before the black water closed in. He traversed spacetime and returned to the thirty-third level.

With his strength severely diminished, he could no longer continue fighting.

Luo Feng's energy reserves had fallen below twenty percent, and he was recovering.

"The domain working with the chains—my other battle techniques, including the Primal Chaos Battle Technique, can only annihilate a small area," Luo Feng frowned. "Only by transforming into blade light and using a forbidden move can I sever hundreds of chains and fly some distance."

That was the method that could carry him the farthest.

"But once the move weakens, I will immediately be bound."

He was still far from the Primal Chaos Shadow, yet it was already this difficult. Based on his experience, the closer he got to the Primal Chaos Shadow, the more frenzied the World Envoy would become.

"The domain and chains should only be part of this World Envoy's methods." Luo Feng understood the mysteries of the Destruction Power at the bottommost level, so he could infer some of this World Envoy's methods.

If the Dark Envoy and Flame Envoy of the thirty-third level were comparable to him, then the sole World Envoy of the thirty-fourth level completely suppressed him in every aspect.

"The gap is somewhat large." Luo Feng pondered for a moment. The black water domain and chains appeared simple, yet he could not think of a way to break them.

"I'll go take a look at the Mountain of Destruction."

Looking at the enormous mountain before him, Luo Feng saw that the Mountain of Destruction was pitch-black, with ink-dark mist covering its surface. Thirty-four clusters of light resembled stars, their radiance linked together like the veins of the Mountain of Destruction.

"That World Envoy said that the Mountain of Destruction contains three portions of power."

"But from the surface, it gives birth to many weapons, even Destruction Fruits and other objects. It also possesses thirty-four types of Destruction Power and conceals countless negative emotions." Luo Feng observed it.

"The network outlined by these thirty-four types of Destruction Power is the evolutionary direction of the Life Core on the path of destruction." Luo Feng's heart stirred. "Perhaps if the Life Core evolves along this direction to a certain extent, it can come into contact with the method of obtaining one portion of power."

Of the seven powers of the Abyss of Destruction, the Destruction World's portion might be the easiest to encounter. After all, any Ancestor or Lord could enter the outermost Destruction World.

Luo Feng carefully observed and studied the area around the Mountain of Destruction, touching it as he investigated.

The only entrance to the mountain path leading upward was blocked by the Seven Sculptures. Without challenging the Seven Sculptures, there was no way to ascend the mountain.
