The lizard opened its mouth, and a stream of green acid sprayed out.
"Watch out!" Lan Zao shouted.

The lizard chose the exact right moment. Huang Zao wore a ferocious look on his face, but he had nowhere to dodge and could only close his eyes and grit his teeth.

The next moment, he opened his eyes to see the face of his own brother, Lan Zao, distorted in agony.
"Brother!" Huang Zao yelled, scrambling on the ground. Finding some room, he threw the javelin in his hand with all his might.
"Go to hell," Huang Zao roared from the depths of his throat.
After spitting the green liquid, the green-skinned lizard was in a listless state. Before its wide-open mouth could close, the javelin thrust straight inside. The spearhead pierced a short way through its skull before getting jammed between the bones.
At this critical moment of life and death, Huang Zao seized the lizard's opening and finally killed it.
"Brother!" Huang Zao breathed a heavy sigh of relief upon seeing the lizard collapse to the ground, and lunged to Lan Zao's side.
Lan Zao lay flat on the ground, in excruciating pain. Tough guy though he was, he wailed aloud at this moment, his voice extremely shrill.
Seeing the wound on Lan Zao's back, Huang Zao could not help drawing a sharp breath.
The wound was terrifying. The green acid was corroding flesh and blood with a sizzling sound, turning the meat into pus and emitting a pungent, foul stench. The injury deteriorated at a frightening speed. Huang Zao could bet that in a few more breaths he would be looking at Lan Zao's bones.
