Zi Di raised her hand, focusing her gaze on the test tube in it.
Zong Ge stood beside her.
Some of the blood he had just drawn was contained in several test tubes in Zi Di's hand.
Zi Di used a spell to conduct a simple examination, then frowned.
Without Battle Qi suppressing it, Zong Ge's blood began to blacken and stink.
Zi Di tried mainstream detoxification methods. Part of Zong Ge's blood began to boil, and the test tubes' temperature rose rapidly, nearly burning through their bottoms. Some of the blood condensed into solid form, while another portion became intensely corrosive and directly ate through the glass test tubes.
None of the mainstream detoxification methods succeeded.
But they had not entirely failed, either.
The boiling blood rose into black, star-shaped mist. Polygonal star patterns also appeared on the surface of the congealed blood clots. After the corrosion, faint star-shaped patterns could also be seen on the remaining glass shards beneath the sunlight.
"These characteristics are quite distinct. It's a very good lead." Zi Di sighed.
She looked at Zong Ge. "I'm going to disappoint you."
"We lack alchemy equipment here, and my own ability is probably insufficient as well."
"To completely detoxify you, I would need to invest a great deal of time and effort, and even then, I can't guarantee success."
"Perhaps we can follow this star-shaped clue and uncover some valuable information."
"At this stage, all I can do is temporarily suppress this deadly poison."
Zong Ge nodded slightly. He had already been mentally prepared for this result and did not feel much disappointment.
At least on the surface, his expression remained calm.
"Temporarily suppressing the poison will be enough," Zong Ge said.
Zi Di sighed, her face filled with concern.
Zong Ge's condition had been worsening.
