Background / History

Chen Ping is a transmigrant from Blue Star who awakened in the body of a six-year-old survivor of the Panlong Sect massacre. The sect’s members—including the body’s parents and brothers—were killed; only the Grand Elder and a few others were believed to have survived. Chen Ping never learned what caused the attack. 4

The Panlong Sect inherited the Coiling Dragon Staff martial soul, but Chen Ping possessed an inferior mutant form: the fragile Willow Staff. Its limitations, paired with Innate Level Two Soul Power, left him overlooked by the Shrek Inspection Team and local authorities after the massacre. 4 25

He survived alone for nearly six years while waiting for the Scholar Cultivation System to activate. Rather than granting resources directly, the system rewards learning and effort, can simulate and deduce scenarios through Scholar Points, and supports technique deduction. 4

Chen Ping sought entry to Shrek Academy by intending to claim Wang Yan—another Coiling Dragon Staff wielder—as a distant uncle.
