After reading through the documents Shiyu had filled out, Vice Tower Master Li made the announcement and handed Shiyu a token. This token served as identification for Spirit Pagoda personnel.

"Can I enter the Spirit Ascension Platform now?" Shiyu naturally did not want to waste time. After all, he might only have a few days left.

"You really are impatient," Vice Tower Master Li said with a chuckle, showing his understanding.

After giving it some thought, he decided to take Shiyu there personally. He could also see how Shiyu would perform within the Spirit Ascension Platform and whether the stimulation from its energy might reveal his Soul Ring.

Led by Vice Tower Master Li, Shiyu arrived at a relatively high-end Spirit Ascension Room.

There was only one Spirit Ascension Pod inside, large enough for someone to lie down in. There were usually two, but this arrangement was more private, and the pod itself had more functions.

After entering, Shiyu looked around curiously. He had mentally prepared himself, yet he still found it novel.

"Go lie down in there. You may feel a little discomfort later, but that's normal. Don't be nervous," Vice Tower Master Li said as he adjusted the equipment.

"Alright." Shiyu went over and lay down in the Spirit Ascension Pod. It was rather soft.

The hatch above him slowly closed. Soon, he began to feel discomfort—not in his body, but in his consciousness.

Drowsiness swept over him, and he quickly fell asleep.

Shiyu felt as though he were crossing some sort of boundary again, somewhat like traveling through time and space.

It was far more brief this time. Within just a few breaths, his vision brightened, and he could see again.

He looked around. There were trees everywhere, and he was currently standing in a forest. The surroundings were quiet.

Shiyu took a deep breath. He could smell the air, hear sounds, see clearly, and feel through touch. Everything was extremely real.

This technology really is ahead of modern technology in some ways, Shiyu thought.

His consciousness had completely immersed itself in a virtual world. Every sensation was incomparably realistic, as though he were truly there. This technology was far beyond anything in the modern era.

Perhaps it could not all be attributed to superior technology. Extraordinary power had surely been incorporated into it.

If it relied solely on technology, it might not have been possible to create such a realistic virtual world.

Shiyu did not dwell on it. What he needed to care about now was not technology, but how to find the Dark Gold Dreadclaw Bear he wanted.

He looked around, but for the moment, there was no clear direction. It seemed he could only rely on luck.

Trusting his intuition, he chose a direction and began walking, focusing intently on sensing the surrounding space.

His Space Perception seemed to have become sharper here, with large amounts of information feeding back into his mind.

He paid little attention to the trees and vegetation. What he focused on were Spirit Beasts.

He could roughly sense the distribution of Spirit Beasts within a thousand-meter radius. This was information relayed to him by space itself, much like radar positioning.

"Roar!" Shiyu deliberately appeared before a wolf-type Spirit Beast. The moment it saw him, it charged fiercely, its eyes gleaming with predatory viciousness.

Shiyu did not dodge. Instead, he gathered his Soul Power and struck at the wolf-type Spirit Beast with his palm.

An energy palm manifested in the space before him and sent the wolf-type Spirit Beast flying. It did not stop until it smashed through a tree.

"Awoo!" The wolf-type Spirit Beast let out a weak cry before its body turned illusory. It had been killed and transformed into energy.

"Is it really this powerful?" Shiyu had merely wanted to test it, but he had not expected the Spatial Power he mobilized to possess such force.

He had no Soul Skills, only exquisite control over space. Yet this could give rise to many different techniques.

For example, the palm strike he had just launched was a basic attack formed by mobilizing Spatial Power.

He transformed Spatial Power into a palm of his own and struck heavily. The force behind the blow seemed unusually great.

"His control over space is this formidable?" Vice Tower Master Li watched the live feed in the Spirit Ascension Room, surprise appearing on his face.

There was an inconspicuous electronic eye above Shiyu, recording his movements and displaying them on the electronic screen.

Vice Tower Master Li watched with great interest.

He had seen Shiyu's methods just now. So Teleportation was not the only thing he excelled at.

The energy formed from the slain Spirit Beast flew toward Shiyu.

Shiyu knew what it was and did not resist, allowing it to enter his body.

He carefully sensed the changes within himself. He also wanted to know whether this energy could stimulate his Soul Ring into appearing.

During the Peerless Tang Sect Period, he had possessed Soul Rings. After crossing over, they were gone. He did not know whether they had completely vanished or merely hidden themselves.

If it was the latter, then it was possible to release them.

The energy was absorbed by his body, making him feel more mentally alert, but that seemed to be the extent of the change. Nothing else happened.

"Is it not working? Or have I not absorbed enough energy?" Shiyu was not sure which was the case.

He continued searching through the forest, hoping that luck would allow him to encounter the Dark Gold Dreadclaw Bear.

He simply headed in one direction. The farther he went toward the edges, the greater the chance of encountering a Dark Gold Dreadclaw Bear.

He encountered quite a few Spirit Beasts along the way, all of which he killed without mercy and absorbed their energy.

His body still showed no major changes. He only felt slightly swollen.

"A group of people is surrounding a Spirit Beast?" Shiyu suddenly looked in one direction. He sensed activity over there. After hesitating for a moment, he decided to take a look.

He started running, teleporting repeatedly. Each time, he moved only around a dozen meters, worried that traveling too far would make it difficult to control his landing point and cause unnecessary trouble.

He soon drew close and hid behind a tree to observe in secret.

The first thing that caught his eye was a dazzling display of colors. An ordinary-looking young girl was using several elements together to attack.

Those brilliant colors came from elemental energy: fiery red, earthy yellow, wind green, water blue, light gold, darkness black, and even occasional flashes of silver radiance. That was the Power of Space.

"Gu Yuena?" Seeing so many elements appear, Shiyu first thought of Gu Yuena. She controlled multiple elements—earth, fire, wind, water, light, darkness, and space. They all matched.

"It should be Gu Yue. Then the Others must be..." Shiyu began searching for Tang Wulin.

He was easy to find. Whoever fought the bravest, or whoever was releasing Blue Silver Grass, was most likely him.

Tang Wulin, who possessed the Golden Dragon King Bloodline, was exceptionally powerful in close combat. Few could be braver than him in a melee.

Very quickly, Shiyu locked onto someone. He was closest to the Spirit Beast and, with the support of the Others, repeatedly attacked it with the golden blade in his hand.

The sound of friction rang out continuously. The Spirit Beast's fur was like metal, and sparks flew with flashes of lightning whenever the golden claws struck it. Its defense was not so easily broken.
