Her teacher, Qian Xunjie, refused to accept her intention to leave Spirit Hall and elope with Yu Xiaogang. He sexually assaulted her, and she was subsequently forced to give birth to Qian Renxue. Bibi Dong later devoured Qian Xunjie, but the memory of his abuse remained her most terrifying emotional burden 550 555.

By the time Shiyu encounters her, she commands Spirit Hall as its Pope and has received the Rakshasa God's nine inheritance trials. Her hatred of Qian Xunjie also extends to the Angel lineage, creating tension with Qian Daoliu and her own daughter 295 553 556.

Their settlement involves Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, mutual oaths, and Shiyu's agreement to perform three tasks for her 292 293 294.

For the first task, she recruits him to retrieve the Rakshasa God Scythe. She draws the Death Canyon creatures' attention while he approaches the weapon and swaps her into position. The extraction takes longer than expected, forcing Shiyu to expend defensive Soul Tools and supply healing blood. Their successful escape completes her seventh trial and turns their hostility into an uneasy partnership 295 296 299 300 301.

Soul Beast Hunts and the Soul Hunting Operation

On Shiyu's return, Bibi Dong supplies the two God-Bestowed Soul Rings she promised him and helps hunt the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger. Their next expedition targets the Deep Sea Demon Whale King, whose million-year ring becomes a major addition to her strength 408 409 411 415 418 421.

She then enlists Shiyu in her campaign against continental opposition. The operation targets the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan; the pair also assassinate the Heaven Dou Emperor, enabling Xue Qinghe to take the throne.
