Chen Mo stopped, grabbed his phone, checked the caller ID, rubbed his forehead, and walked out.
"Mom." Chen Mo answered the call.
"Ah Mo, your aunt just showed us a news report. It said the chairman of Ant Army Company—was that you?" An anxious voice came from the other end.
"Mom, did you call just to ask about this?" Chen Mo nearly cried. "Didn't I tell you during the New Year? I started a company called Ant Army Company. The person in the news was me."
"You didn't tell your father and me about something this big."
A voice that was both delighted and angry came through the phone. Delighted that her son had made something of himself, angry that Chen Mo had not told them.
"Mom, didn't I say during the New Year that I'd started a company?" Chen Mo said with a bitter smile.
"Your father and I will come to Bin Hai City in a few days. Are you keeping well over there? Nothing wrong, right?"
"I'm perfectly healthy." Chen Mo silently muttered, Even if there was something, you interrupted it, but he only thought it and did not say it aloud. "Mom, you and Dad take care of yourselves. Come to Bin Hai City, and I'll tell you everything then."
"Alright."
After hanging up, Chen Mo finally returned to the room.
Xiao Yu lay on the bed with flushed cheeks and tightly shut eyes. When she heard the door open, her body tensed again, and she instinctively tugged at the blanket. She felt as though her heart was about to leap out of her chest.
After waiting for a long time and hearing nothing, Xiao Yu slowly opened her eyes. Chen Mo's smiling yet not-smiling face filled her vision.
"I knew you were pretending to sleep."
