"Had their team split?"
William frowned at the news coming through the phone.
Their intelligence showed that Murakami Shisui and Yamamoto Saki belonged to the same team and had worked together on Artificial Intelligence research for decades. There should not have been a problem like this at such a critical moment.

"Look into it, confirm the information, and report back to me immediately," William said.
"Understood."
"How far along is the mission?"

After hanging up, William's brow knotted tightly as he kept thinking about the conflict between Yamamoto Saki and Murakami Shisui.
An internal conflict at a time like this? It did not make sense no matter how he looked at it. It was probably a disagreement over their research direction. Such things were perfectly normal among researchers.
"The Mai Mei approaching Yamamoto Saki may be with the CIA. Be careful not to get discovered. Suspend your work for now and just keep an eye on that woman. Let them make their move. We may have a chance to reap the benefits without lifting a finger."
Bass instructed Longze Xue.
