Only now did the people in the conference hall come to a sudden realization.
The strong made the rules, and the weak followed them. That was the current state of the world.
Chen Mo was no longer someone who followed the rules. He was now one of their makers. For the present and for some time to come, no one had more say than him when it came to the rules of humanity's exploration of space.
The people around the conference table fell into thought, while the guests in the hall pondered the rules Chen Mo had proposed.
Not only had their attempt to pressure him failed, they had been pressured in return.
Chen Mo's space capabilities surpassed theirs, and his uncompromising attitude left them all helpless.
They were even more afraid than Chen Mo of things reaching a point of no return.
If the table was overturned, Chen Mo could monopolize Outer Space. He could take everything he wanted, while they would receive no benefits at all.
Jim's eyes darted around as his mind raced, searching for flaws in the rules Chen Mo had proposed.
Suddenly, Jim's eyes lit up. A mocking smile appeared on his face, but quickly vanished. He glanced at Chen Mo across from him and put on an indignant expression.
"What exactly are the conditions for 'life' to survive? Does life mean bacteria? Plants? Or animals?"
Chen Mo glanced at him and immediately knew what he was plotting.
"Without artificial intervention, organisms placed on a planet must survive under that planet's natural conditions for more than one week. This includes organisms capable of photosynthesis, including photosynthetic bacteria and fungi."
Jim's expression improved slightly. He picked up the coffee beside him, took a sip, and licked his lips. Surprisingly, he did not voice any strong opposition.
