The alien spacecraft's lasers swept across the sky, and the spaceships and missiles more than a hundred miles away exploded in an instant. The Planet Bombs they carried also detonated, blazing brighter than the sun.
"Not bad power."
Lizard Head chuckled as he watched the explosions in space as though enjoying fireworks.
Even the electromagnetic waves generated by the Planet Bombs would not affect their Superluminal Spaceship. This was space; there would be no shockwave effects either.
Beep, beep, beep...
As they spoke, an alarm sounded.
"What's going on?"
"Nano-bugs."
Lizard Head flicked out his long, slender tongue and tapped the instrument several times, bringing up the Quantum Radar display. At some point, Nano-bugs had begun corroding the spacecraft's hull.
"This little guy's pretty unwilling to submit, and he's smart too. He even developed Nano-bugs and secretly sent them close to us. We nearly got caught off guard. Block the electromagnetic waves around the ship. Activate the electromagnetic pulse and jammers on board. Clear out these Nano-bugs."
They had seen this sort of thing far too often.
Even non-intelligent creatures resisted when captured. It would have been strange if civilized beings did not fight back. When dealing with relatively intelligent Red-Level Intelligent Being civilizations, cases of captors being killed through carelessness were not uncommon.
