Bad Luck?

In the library, Chen Mo stopped typing. A relaxed smile appeared on his face.

After five grueling days and three failures, he had finally swallowed his pride and asked Old Shu for advice. Old Shu had been generous in explaining everything Chen Mo asked.

With a little guidance from Old Shu, Chen Mo quickly found the key issue. Only now had he perfected the antivirus program.

The Eternal Heart outbreak had lasted five days. It was finally finished today.

Chen Mo eagerly copied the antivirus program onto a USB drive, ran it, and plugged it into Xiao Yu's computer.

There was still that mysterious iron door and huge lock, with forty hours left on the countdown. If it was not unlocked within forty hours, all the data on the computer would be destroyed.

Seeing the USB drive's indicator light blinking, Chen Mo tapped a few keys.

"Scanning for viruses. Completed: 1%..."

A prompt popped up on the screen, making Chen Mo beam with delight.

Two minutes later, the number reached 100%. The computer screen lit up and returned to the familiar Windows desktop. No one knew that, in Binhai University's library, Chen Mo had already resolved the ransomware virus threatening the entire world.

"It's a little laggy."

Chen Mo refreshed the desktop with his mouse.

Then again, Xiao Yu was not particularly good with computers and put everything on the C drive, so it was normal for it to lag. Still, Xiao Yu's desktop was very neat.

"This guy's got guts. He's openly watching Island Nation action movies in the library."

Many people in the study area tried to hold back their laughter, their faces red from the effort. In the end, their stomachs hurt from suppressing it, and they collapsed onto their desks laughing.

Even Chen Mo wanted to laugh at himself. He had not expected removing a virus to lead to something like this. It was the most embarrassing thing he had ever experienced. They reached a pavilion by the lake, and only then did Chen Mo stop.

"The computer virus has been removed." Chen Mo took out the laptop and handed it to Xiao Yu with a half-smile.

Xiao Yu hesitated before opening the laptop.

Soft cries and panting came from the laptop. Before she even saw the image, Xiao Yu's face instantly flushed red, the color spreading from her ears down her neck. She nearly threw the laptop out of her hands.

It was the first time she had discussed such an explicit topic in front of a man, even if the man in front of her was her boyfriend.

"Just now, in the library study area, the computer froze and I accidentally clicked it open. The sound was so loud that everyone in that study area heard it. Quite a few people probably laughed themselves into internal injuries."

"HAHAHAHA..."

Xiao Yu laughed without any concern for her image. Just imagining that scene made her want to laugh.

"You're still laughing? I suffered a huge loss. How are you going to compensate me?"

Xiao Yu held back her smile and looked at Chen Mo with a red face. Biting her lip, she leaned forward and kissed his cheek before immediately pulling back.

Chen Mo felt much better. All his frustration vanished in an instant.

"One more time." Chen Mo smiled lightly and pointed at his cheek.

"Stop messing around."

Xiao Yu blushed and lightly smacked Chen Mo. This was still the first time she had taken the initiative to kiss a man.

"After what happened in the library, the computer wasn't turned off. I only closed it, so that movie is still playing. The moment you open the lid, there'll be sound."

Chen Mo mischievously tapped Xiao Yu's laptop. "If you want to watch it, just open the lid. But remember to wear headphones, or someone will hear it again."

Xiao Yu's face instantly turned crimson. She tossed the laptop back to Chen Mo. "Help me delete it."

"I can delete it, but give me one more kiss." Chen Mo laughed.

"Delete it first, then we'll talk."

Chen Mo took the laptop and directly opened the screen. The intoxicating sounds came from the computer again. Luckily, no one was around, or it would have caused another awkward scene.

Xiao Yu instantly turned her face away, blushing as red as blood.

"I'm worried Ruo Xi is going to lead you astray in the dorm." Chen Mo closed and deleted the video before handing the laptop back to Xiao Yu.

"Thank you." Xiao Yu took the laptop and only breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that all the files were intact.

"Show some real action."

After removing the virus from Zhou Tongtong's computer as well and helping Xiao Yu organize her computer, Chen Mo finally walked Xiao Yu back to her dorm.

After returning to his rental apartment, Chen Mo put his things away and entered the Sci-Tech Library.

Old Shu had said that as long as Chen Mo created the antivirus program, he could enter and randomly select a piece of technology. Now that the program was complete, it was time.

After opening the dark red book, Old Shu appeared once more.

"Finished?"

"Finished!"

"Not bad. Faster than I expected. Do you want to randomly select a technology now?" Old Shu asked.

"Yes." Chen Mo nodded. That was why he had come.

"Then let's begin."

With a casual point from Old Shu, a ring of light descended from above the library and enveloped the central area. On the light screen, densely packed books arranged like tiles began to spin.

Seeing so many books spinning wildly, Chen Mo's heart tightened as he stared without blinking. In the end, only a single book remained floating in midair before slowly descending into Old Shu's hand.

When Chen Mo saw the book in Old Shu's hand, his face flushed red and he nearly spat blood. He wanted to cry. Of all things, he had randomly selected this technology.

Random selection really was a trap.

He had already made a fool of himself in the library today, and now this happened too. Was he really that unlucky today?

Old Shu saw through Chen Mo's thoughts at a glance.

"Congratulations, hahaha..." Old Shu laughed heartily as he looked at the book.

Hearing Old Shu's laughter, Chen Mo wilted like an eggplant struck by frost. He felt terrible all over. Out of countless technologies, why had he gotten this one? It would have been fine even if he had picked something temporarily useless, but what was he supposed to do with this?

Chen Mo covered his face, on the verge of tears. "Old Shu, can I change it?"

"No." Old Shu shook his head. "You don't want it?"

"I want it. Why wouldn't I?"

Chen Mo immediately jumped up. Something for nothing was still something. Even if he did not use it himself, he could sell the materials to a company specializing in production and make money.

Only after giving the technology to Chen Mo did Old Shu speak again. "Do you remember what I told you last time? Once you designed the antivirus program and came to find me, there would be an unexpected reward."

"I remember." Chen Mo immediately perked up. "Is there some unexpected technology?"
