He did not understand why Tu Yun had made this choice.

Such a choice clearly did not align with the Nebula Alliance's current interests.
"If I had to give a reason, there is indeed one. I studied the history of your homeland. Using one of your homeland's idioms, it is called 'when the lips are gone, the teeth grow cold.' If you are destroyed, we will not survive for long either," Tu Yun said.

"I told the other senior leaders of the Nebula Alliance that if we could betray an ally today, then our allies could betray us tomorrow."
