"My body." Chen Mo answered without hesitation.
No matter how much money one had, without a healthy body, everything was fleeting. Everyone understood that truth.
"Old Shu, you're not going to tell me not to choose anything and send me out to run and exercise, are you?"
"Hahaha... You're quite amusing." Old Shu laughed. "Let me put it this way. If you took one piece of technology out and released it onto the market—say, this Battery Technology—have you ever researched it? If you suddenly released it, and people asked where it came from, what would you say? That you stole it?"
Old Shu's words made Chen Mo nod slightly.

"Does the Sci-Tech Library have technologies like those?" Chen Mo swept his eyes across the bookshelves, his gaze filled with fervor. These were things people had dreamed of since birth; otherwise, history would not have produced so many myths.
Myths were fabricated from humanity's desire for immortality and power.
"Yes." Old Shu nodded. "If you want them, you must possess the highest access level in the Sci-Tech Library. But don't think about that for now. I'm only dangling a carrot in front of you. Those things are not merely a hundred and eight thousand miles away from you. Think about your current situation. Low-Level Human Potential Development Technology is what you can put to immediate use."
Chen Mo thought about it. As Old Shu had said, this Potential Development Technology truly was the book most useful to him right now.
If he developed his body's potential and learned some martial arts, he would not end up getting knocked unconscious by a bookshelf in a library again.
Saving a beauty was not something he could get lucky with every time.
"I'll choose this one."
"Are you sure?" Old Shu asked.
"I'm sure. The body is the foundation, after all," Chen Mo said. "There will be money-making technologies sooner or later. There's no need to rush."
Old Shu nodded in satisfaction. He spread his five fingers wide, and a beam of light descended from above the library. A book appeared in his hand.
The book emitted a faint glow, somewhat like a holographic projection.
Old Shu lightly tapped the book in his hand against Chen Mo's head. Chen Mo's mind shook, and an enormous amount of information surfaced in his brain, imprinting itself into his memories.
"After this, do I have to wait until next month to obtain another technology?" Chen Mo asked as he pondered the Human Potential Development Technology he had received.
"Not necessarily. Go out and study science and engineering books and technologies. For every hundred books you learn, you can obtain one technology. Once you have read a thousand books, you can advance to the next access level," Old Shu said.
"A thousand books?" Chen Mo nearly spat out blood.
What did a thousand science and engineering books even mean? An ordinary person might not finish two hundred books in an entire lifetime. A thousand? Wasn't that murder?
"Isn't the requirement for advancing a little too difficult?"
"It isn't as difficult as you think. Your brain is different from ordinary people's now. You could be considered to have a Super Brain. The Sci-Tech Library isn't here for you to live off without lifting a finger. You must keep striving and learning if you want higher access," Old Shu said earnestly.
"I understand." Chen Mo nodded heavily.
"Alright, you've been unconscious for a while. It's time to leave. Staying unconscious for too long isn't good for your body," Old Shu said. "Whenever you come in later, I'll appear once you open the book."
"How do I get out?" Chen Mo looked around but saw no exit.
"Close the book." Old Shu pointed to the dark red book.
Chen Mo reached out and closed the dark red book. Old Shu's body gradually faded away as well. In the center of the library, in front of the table, a three-meter-tall door radiating golden light appeared.
A black vortex floated within the light gate, specks of blue light swirling around it. It looked somewhat like a spacetime portal from a science fiction film. Chen Mo walked to the gate, looked back at the library once, and stepped into the golden door.
