"Professor, the soldiers have been ambushed. What do we do now?"
San Ji stared at the glow of the holographic projection, somewhat unsettled.
Their soldiers had been ambushed on Green Water Star. It was unbelievable. What they had thought would be a smooth capture operation had unexpectedly turned into such a major incident.
Torrell remained relatively calm. "Don't panic. San Ya must have contacted the fleet. We just don't know when they'll arrive."
"It'll take ten Origin Hours to get here from the front lines," San Ji said. "I don't know if they can make it in time."
"It seems the enemy doesn't have many people, and the fighting is limited. Although the soldiers only have one squad, holding out for that long shouldn't be a problem. We also have two armed ships on standby."
Torrell watched the light screen, his expression calm.
"San Ya must know that, which is why he didn't tell us to retreat first. Besides, San Ya is the captain. The two armed ships can't just abandon him."
"Are we still looking for that lifeform?" San Ji asked.
"Of course we are." Torrell answered without hesitation. "The King ordered the fleet to launch such a fierce attack on this region precisely because of that lifeform."
"Is it that important?"
"Yes. Its value may be greater than the entire Green Water Star. That lifeform's life level may be higher than ours. It evolved by skipping levels from a low-level lifeform. If we can find the key to that, you know what the benefits would be, don't you?"
"Its life level is higher than ours?"
San Ji found it hard to believe. Their civilization belonged to the middle tier of the universe. If its life level was higher than theirs, then it would be in the upper-middle tier
