Mo Nv was inside, dressed in a lab coat.

The transparent glass chambers before her contained several animals: rabbits, white mice, pigs, monkeys, and chimpanzees. They were animals used for experiments.

The animals inside the glass chambers were no longer animals in the traditional sense.

Visible changes had appeared on each of them.

The rabbit's legs looked far more muscular; the white mouse's teeth had become sharp and pointed; tiny visible arcs of electricity flickered over the pig's body; the chimpanzee's muscles and physique had developed considerably, making it look like King Kong from a movie. The monkey had changed the most. A faint red glow flickered across its body, and infrared detection revealed temperatures of several hundred degrees Celsius.

These were experimental subjects for Superpower Development Technology. Although the animals had changed, they shared one trait: they acted like mad beasts inside the glass chambers, violent and irrational. The high temperature was draining the monkey's life force.

Superpower Development Technology had not yet succeeded. It was still only a semi-finished product, but significant progress had been made.

This was the technology Mo Ge had entrusted to her, in hopes of exploring humanity's superpowers.

Some superpowers already existed in natural life. Electric eels could generate electricity, and salamanders could regenerate severed limbs. For animals, these were special life traits bestowed by their cells, but for humans, they were superpowers. Likewise, to other animals, humanity's powerful intelligence was a superpower.

Superpowers were relative. They were now researching ways to give humans the abilities of other lifeforms and animals, perhaps even abilities no other animal possessed.

This was the sixty-third experiment. It had failed. The side effects of the subjects losing their minds and their loss of life force had yet to be resolved.
