In space, the Space Curvature Spaceship had already come to a stop, floating silently. The Artificial Intelligence controlling the ship sent a message to Earth through the Faster-than-light Quantum Communication Device.

"Request approved."

"Request approved. Activating the Space Curvature Engine."

At the command, the ship's Space Curvature Engine activated. There was no sound. Destructive light from burning Antimatter flickered across the twin-ring Space Curvature Engine.

A space jump could not be completed instantly. It required a period of energy accumulation for spatial folding.

Everyone waited. This was the first space jump. The universe was simply too vast; even at light speed, humanity could only explore the Star Systems near the Solar System, and that still required an enormous amount of time. If this experiment succeeded, it would open the true gateway for humanity to enter the universe. Humanity would be able to cross distances measured in light-years within just a few hours.

Seconds ticked by. For ten minutes, Earth headquarters waited in silence as the ship prepared.

The maiden voyage of the Space Curvature Spaceship was a milestone event.

"The ship is ready to depart. Destination: Alpha Centauri. 10... 9... 8... 2... 1."

"Depart."

The instant the countdown ended, the spaceship in space suddenly vanished.

In the Alpha Centauri Star System, 4.3 light-years from Earth, a spaceship appeared out of nowhere and hovered in space. It was the Space Curvature Spaceship Xun Mo, which had just departed from the Solar System.

"Alpha Centauri α Star A detected. Alpha Centauri α Star B detected. Proxima Centauri detected. Ship arrival at destination confirmed."

At Ant Army Group headquarters, everyone grew tense the instant Xun Mo disappeared. Success or failure would be decided in this single attempt.
