Fierce Battle

A purple laser streaked across the sky and swept down over the land, its long scorched trail seeming to split the earth in two.

The light in the sky was brighter than ten suns, bleaching everything at the horizon white. The glowing mass expanded at a visible speed, as though it would engulf heaven and earth. Terrifying sound waves carried shockwaves that devastated everything in their path, leaving nothing but scorched ground.

A somewhat bedraggled figure burst from the light and fled into the distant sky at extreme speed. Before long, ten figures emerged from behind the glow and pursued the fleeing armor. Purple lasers in their hands locked onto it, determined to kill it.

Wei Jiesi stared at the marked figure on his armor radar, not daring to relax for even a moment. His expression was grim as the comms at his ear kept asking about the current situation.

Their superiors had issued a death order. The target's life or death did not matter, but the item in his possession had to be destroyed. They could not allow him to take it out, much less let him leave alive. Otherwise, the consequences would be severe.

The target had taken a research product he should not have taken from the laboratory.

If they completed this mission, their rank would rise by one level. Otherwise, the consequences were obvious. They would face severe punishment, something no one wanted to endure.

"Block his route ahead. His destination is Armor Trade City. Don't let him enter the city." Seeing the city displayed on the radar map a hundred thousand kilometers away, Wei Jiesi's voice lowered.
