The Origin of Superpowers: A Hypothesis on Life in the Multi-dimensional Universe

Superpowers, these special abilities of living beings, had not received a fully reasonable theoretical explanation even from the universe's God-level Civilizations. They merely claimed that they were manifestations of consciousness influencing matter.

But after researching Superpower Development Technology, Chen Mo learned of quite a few possible hypotheses from the books in the Sci-Tech Library.

One particularly interesting hypothesis involved the Multi-dimensional Universe.

The Sci-Tech Library's hypothesis regarding the existence of superpowers was the theory of residual consciousness left behind by life from the era of the Multi-dimensional Universe.

The hypothesis suggested that life in the Multi-dimensional Universe possessed unimaginable consciousness and abilities, equivalent to the omnipotent "gods" understood by the current universe. As the Multi-dimensional Universe died, collapsed, and degraded like a star, the life within it also died. The universe was the remaining corpse of life after the death of the "gods"; galaxies were merely cells, and planets were inconspicuous atoms upon those cells. Perhaps even the universe perceived by living beings was only a single cell.

The energy of the "unimaginable matter" left behind after the death of multi-dimensional life gave rise to the life of the current universe, like bacteria and viruses on a corpse.

The universe still retained the unimaginable abilities and subconsciousness of the "gods." Superpowers were the accidental manifestation of those unimaginable abilities within life in the current universe. Life with superpowers was the children of the "gods," which was why they were especially powerful.

Based on mathematical models and cosmic theories, the existence of a Multi-dimensional Universe was possible. As for whether it truly contained the special lifeforms imagined in the hypothesis, that was another matter.

All of this was merely conjecture. No one could determine whether it was true.
