Lan saw Xiao Li's battle armor and long scythe, surprise flashing in his eyes.

The silver rings in his eyes seemed to lose focus as he sank into memories, filled with both emotion and reminiscence. Only after a long while did he emerge from them, his gaze still resting on Xiao Li.

"You know him?" Zhao Min asked curiously.

"He reminded me of an old friend. It has been over three hundred years. His battle armor paint scheme and weapon are the same as his." Lan sighed. Seeing that the battle was nearing its end, he activated his communicator. "Ku Yao, don't kill him yet. I have something to ask him."

Ku Yao had originally planned to end the battle, but after hearing Lan's order, he slowly lowered the spear in his hand, its surface glimmering with a dim light. Though he did not know what Lord Lan had in mind, he would not disobey Lan's orders.
