After killing Huo Zhi and revealing his strength, he helped Zi Yan secure a fragile pause in the fighting while the Soul Clan remained his next target.

• Lu Yuan traveled to Starfall Pavilion, told Feng Xian he planned to resurrect Yao Chen, and learned that fighting had spread across the Central Plains.
• Lu Yuan infiltrated the conflict between the Thunder Clan and Soul Clan, secretly killed Soul Clan fighters, and watched Hun Feng activate the Soul Devouring Life Extinction Array.
• Lu Yuan confronted Gu Qingyang and Lei Dong, killed Hun Feng, and demanded that Gu Xun'er be allowed to choose her own future.

Lu Yuan ended the feuds involving the Heavenly Demon Phoenix and Void Ancient Dragon Clans, then backed Yao Lao through his confrontation with the Yao Clan. After the Medicine Ceremony, Lu Yuan and his companions set out for Gu Xun'er’s Coming-of-Age Ceremony and arrived at the Gu Clan.

• Lu Yuan reunited with Little Fairy Doctor and Qing Lin, rescued Qing Lin from the Nine Netherworld Python Clan, and killed its pursuing elders and Dou Zuns.
• Lu Yuan forced the Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan and the Void Ancient Dragon Clan to accept peace, then persuaded Zhu Kun not to attack the Phoenixes.
• Lu Yuan took Little Fairy Doctor and Qing Lin to Starfall Pavilion, gathered the needed materials, and helped Xiao Yan revive Yao Lao as a Nine Revolutions Dou Zun.

Lu Yuan helped Gu Xun'er and Xiao Yan overcome threats and awaken their bloodlines before returning to the Northern Heavens Realm. There, he reunited with Luo Li during the entrance examination, learned of the Luo God Clan’s troubles, and agreed to try a relationship with her.

• Gu Xun'er awakened a God-Rank Bloodline, chose to follow Lu Yuan, and later joined him as he helped the Gu Clan repel Hun Tiandi and the Soul Clan’s attack.
• Lu Yuan killed Nihility Devouring Flame and the Soul Clan’s Dou Saints, then gave Gu Xun'er the sealed Mother Flame as a gift.
• Lu Yuan took Xiao Yan into the Heavenly Tomb, where Xiao Yan awakened his God-Rank bloodline under Xiao Xuan’s guidance.
