Lu Xueqi and the other sect disciples entered the Blood Refinement Hall’s trials, where Dongfang Yuan confronted the Hall Master and Lu Yuan intervened. The group was transported through strange worlds and arrived at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where Fa Xiang died trying to take its herbs.

• Bi Yao arrived at Shanhai Courtyard carrying the Dragon Slaying Sword, challenged Lu Xueqi and the others over Lu Yuan, and later told them he had given his companions a choice about opposing or supporting him.
• Lu Yuan prepared Ten Thousand Bats Cave with steel-beast guardians while Lu Xueqi led Qingyun Sect to find the battered Heavenly Sound Temple disciples and join them with Incense Valley.

Lu Yuan then secured the Profound Fire Mirror and freed Xiaobai, while Qingyun Sect and the Demonic Path prepared for a wider conflict.
