Little Crow Ecological Observation Diary—Eggshell Edition and Other Notes.
Based on current observations, the Split Bodies hatched by Little Crow shared many similarities with their mother. Aside from appearance, the greatest similarities lay in personality and biological instincts. Like Little Crow, Mini Mediva treasured her eggshells. She regarded the eggshell fragments she carried after birth as extremely important "companion items." To these little creatures, eggshells were both the first tools they learned to use and the toys they played with most often. At times, they were even props for expressing friendliness and trust: by using each other's eggshells, Mini Medivas could quickly become friends.
Although they treated their eggshells as treasures, under normal circumstances, a Mini Mediva only kept a small fragment of her own shell, roughly one-third to one-fifth of the whole shell. She would also chip that small piece into a neat shape, which seemed sufficient for her "use." Most of the shells, meanwhile, would be gathered together by the Little Crows, who would call for their owner to clean them up. During this process, they even seemed to hold a simple send-off ceremony nearby? Only a very few Mini Medivas had been confirmed to retain their entire eggshells, and they showed signs of trying to glue them back together. It was still unclear why the second type of Mini Mediva did this. It was very likely some inborn collecting habit?
So far, the tools Mini Medivas used their eggshell fragments for included: digging tools—they occasionally dug holes everywhere, perhaps related to a crow's foraging instincts—tableware—when being fed, they would hand you their eggshells, and putting food inside made them very happy—drinking vessels, stools, tables, toys, and simply balancing them on their heads while running around. It was still unknown where they normally kept their eggshells, but they
