This had once been a Military Node established by the Merova People in a desolate region. Built around a large Star System, it consisted of a primary military planet, numerous space installations, and a great many military facilities spread across a two-light-year radius around the system. The entire Military Node lay at the edge of this remote galaxy. But now—it was merely a cleaned-up battlefield. The fortresses and starports that had once occupied space had become cooling metal slag and drifting clouds, while most of the medium-sized Merova fleet stationed here had been blasted apart around the starport before it could even leave port. The scattered large wreckage had already been towed away by support vessels that morning for recycling, to be used in cheap, cost-effective Asteroid Belt framework facilities. I planned to build another two production bases in the Asteroid Belt at the edge of this Star System to make up for the insufficient output of lower-tier military units.
The Empire Admiral and its escort fleet hung motionless above the original central planet of this Military Node's system. We were in the planet's high orbit, and wreckage near its gravitational field was being accelerated and guided downward by gravity manipulators. From here, we could see countless specks of fire constantly flaring across the planet below. Those were fragments of space debris plunging into the scorching atmosphere. I imagined there had to be an extraordinarily spectacular Meteor Shower down there. In fact, Qian Qian had already gone down. She claimed she was going to speed up the construction of the surface base, but I figured it was more likely that she had gone to watch the meteor shower. Given that amazing girl's personality, nothing she did on a battlefield would be surprising.
