There was only profound darkness here.
All things were nurtured within the darkness.
Yet even "darkness" was insufficient to describe everything before me. In fact, in this place, the very words "before my eyes" did not exist.
If a place mixed together all information, forming a sea of chaos that could not be perceived or described by any means, then that sea of chaos possessed two extremes at once.
It was incomparably abundant, containing everything. Information that could be described and information that could not surged and churned within this ocean. Given sufficient knowledge and power, one could assemble anything from this sea of chaos, even worlds, even gods.
Yet it was also utterly void—because everything here existed in a state that ordinary logic and senses could not accept. No information rooted in the real world could describe the essence of the sea of chaos. If something was entirely beyond your perception, then it did not exist to you. In this chaotic ocean, all mortal creatures were blind and deaf—unless they could grasp the truth.
This was the Void, the first place I "saw" after awakening from my muddled state.
People who had never truly studied the Void usually imagined it as a dark vacuum, and since they could sense nothing, that misconception was understandable. But such a description was far from the truth.
The word "darkness" itself was a term humans had created to describe a specific phenomenon in the world. For true absolute nothingness, something as describable as "darkness" should not exist. Likewise, "vacuum" was merely an illusion produced by the limits of mortal senses.
In truth, the Void had no color. It was not filled with light, yet it contained no darkness whatsoever. It
