The battle had ended. The Minion Army and reserve echelon began clearing the battlefield, recovering starships that still had value. The Lion Legion led by Odysseus and Ruina had also just returned to the main formation. Nearly every Mana Vanguard and Arcane Enforcer had sustained some degree of damage, but not a single one had died. Their unusual combat methods really were effective on certain battlefields. The main force of the Sixth Fleet was now regrouping, assembling and tallying losses. Though we had ultimately won and our results looked good, we had to admit that the Fallen Apostles' ferocious invasion had dealt the New Empire considerable losses. The Sixth Fleet had lost nearly one-third of its strength in this battle.
The Minion Army had not launched a frontal assault, but its losses had reached roughly the same level.
For at least the near future, the Sixth Fleet would be unable to appear on the front lines. It needed time to recuperate, replace destroyed warships, and fill the gaps left by fallen soldiers. Though the Shilin Apostles had the ability to resurrect, not every soldier could return to life after such an intense battlefield. Many brave warriors had been utterly annihilated in battle, and the Military Department would be very busy because of that in the coming period. Fortunately, we had gained a major advantage early in the battle and maintained it throughout. Otherwise, this brutal fight might even have crippled the entire Sixth Fleet. As the New Empire's main force against the Fallen Apostles, that would have been disastrous.
