We had already settled on a plan of action. It was somewhat unconventional, even a little mad: under the cover of abyssal power, we would destroy the entire world before the Fallen Apostles figured out what had happened to this universe. The enormous impact of the apocalypse and the burst of chaotic information it produced would drown out every sensor and radar channel, giving us perfect cover. The torn world would drift randomly through the Void in fragments. Since this universe lay between the borders of the Empire and the Fallen Apostles, its fragments could drift into either the Empire Zone or the Abyss Zone. While the enemy's sensors were clogged by chaotic information, we would guide the world fragments containing life toward the Empire Zone as the apocalypse descended, then reassemble them within Imperial territory.
This was stealing a world right under the enemy's noses... well, at least part of one.
Since abyssal power alone would need a series of infections and worsening conditions to destroy a universe, several days ago I had ordered several large outposts and Void fortresses to station themselves along the World Barrier. These outposts would pretend to be unfortunate victims of Abyss Infection and crash along the boundary between the material world and the Void. Through a series of precisely calculated chain reactions, those accidents would tear open breaches in the World Barrier large enough to trigger a "Void backflow." The entire universe would grind to a halt in a very short time as its mathematical system was erased by the Void, then break into pieces.
The whole plan sounded feasible, but many details could go wrong. The enemy's scanning systems might be more robust than expected. Some intelligent civilizations might not receive adequate protection during the world's tearing. Fragments drifting toward the Empire
