There was much to deal with after the war. This large-scale and dangerous battle would provide military experts with material to study for a long time. The fighting had exposed quite a few flaws in the New Empire's military system. For instance, the Grand Warlord had actually been intercepted by the enemy while rushing to provide support within Imperial territory, showing that we had underestimated the Fallen Apostles' remaining Void-navigation technology. The transmission routes between worlds also needed major overhaul. The Defense Force infrastructure in some frontier worlds was weak, and their military strength limited. Half of those Defense Force members were from the Minion Army, so the Military Integration Department's work was urgent: they needed to expand recruitment, improve Minion Army equipment, and build more military outposts in frontier worlds. More outposts meant more Mass-Produced Hosts, so Bubble's workload would probably increase for a while. We lacked the ability to intercept enemies in the Void; all battles had to be fought in the real world. That was a huge problem for defenders. No matter how a war ended, the defender's territory would undoubtedly suffer severe damage. This last issue was also the hardest to solve.
