Background / History

Tang San came from Sacred Soul Village and arrived at Nuoding Academy as a work-study student accompanied by Old Jack. His registration certificate identified him as possessing Innate Full Soul Power and Blue Silver Grass, prompting Xiao Xian to intervene when the academy gatekeeper accused him of presenting a forged document. 4

He carried knowledge from the Tang Sect of Shu, including hidden-weapon methods and the Mysterious Heaven Skill. Early at Nuoding, he displayed Purple Demon Eye and Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track while sparring Xiao Wu, though his close-combat experience was still limited. 6

Tang San became Grandmaster's second disciple and Xiao Xian's junior brother. He revealed his second Martial Soul, the Clear Sky Hammer, to them; both Master and Xiao Xian instructed him never to attach rings to it without permission. 8

Under Xiao Xian's proposed development path, Tang San's Blue Silver Grass became a Food System Martial Soul rather than following Master's initial Control System recommendation. During his first soul hunt, he killed a Mandala Snake after it poisoned Master and then absorbed a sugarcane-type Soul Ring, gaining the skill that saved Master's life. 11 12

After entering Shrek Academy, Tang San continued developing as an unusually combat-capable Food System Spirit Master. He became a Soul Elder through the Blue Silver Lotus Seeds, then a Soul Ancestor through the Fire Jujube. 55 124

Xiao Xian's sudden departure deeply affected Tang San. He found instructions for the Purple Jade Body and Dragon Whisker Needles left behind for him, then trained more intensely in his senior brother's absence. 92

Tang San later trained for more than a year under Tang Hao, mastering Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer and strengthening his physique beneath a waterfall. His fifth ring awakened the Blue Silver Emperor and granted Blue Silver Overlord Spear, but its offensive nature shattered his plan to preserve Blue Silver Grass as a pure support Martial Soul. 193 194

In the City of Slaughter, Tang San reunited with Xiao Xian and sought his advice after his Blue Silver Grass was stated to have been destroyed. He thereafter focused on the Clear Sky Hammer while considering the physical strength and Soul Bones needed to safely ring his second Martial Soul. 195 197

Appearance

Tang San initially appeared as a thin, dark-skinned child. As his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline and cultivation developed, his hair shifted from ordinary dark hair to blue and eventually dark blue, while his formerly ordinary features became noticeably softer and more handsome. 8 55 119 193

  • Blue Silver Emperor traits manifest as crystalline, sapphire-like grass blades with golden patterns. 193
  • His hair became roughly seventy to eighty percent blue by the time he obtained his fourth ring. 124
  • City of Slaughter killing intent later left him bloodshot-eyed, cold, and intimidating enough to frighten townspeople. 221

Personality

Tang San is initially quiet, observant, and intensely curious about unfamiliar Spirit Master techniques. He remains respectful toward ordinary people even after becoming a Soul Master, such as when he returned to the blacksmith shop to explain his absence rather than abandoning his apprenticeship. 4 13

He is resourceful and courageous under pressure. During the first soul hunt, he killed the Mandala Snake, treated Master with knowledge taught by Tang Hao, and immediately used his first soul skill to keep Master alive. 11

His bond with Xiao Xian strongly shapes his decisions. Tang San admires his senior brother's strength and theory, feels envy and helplessness when Xiao Xian advances beyond him, and takes Xiao Xian's warnings about his development path extremely seriously. 109 194

Tang San is fiercely protective of those close to him, particularly Xiao Xian. Wanted posters for his senior brother provoke immediate killing intent, while Spirit Hall's pursuit of Xiao Xian intensifies his determination to oppose them. 102 221

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

Tang San possesses two Martial Souls: Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer. Master and Xiao Xian recognize his twin-soul potential and direct him to postpone attaching rings to the hammer. 8

  • Blue Silver Grass / Blue Silver Emperor — Initially developed as a Food System Martial Soul, but later awakened into the emperor-class Blue Silver Emperor. 12 193
  • Clear Sky Hammer — A heavy black hammer used for direct combat and hammer techniques. 8 195
  • Second-Martial-Soul ring strategyXiao Xian advises that Tang San needs much greater physical strength and suitable Soul Bones before adding rings to the Clear Sky Hammer. 197

Food-System Blue Silver Soul Skills

Tang San's first four rings were deliberately selected to develop utility, recovery, defense, and strength support. 50 124

  • Blue Silver Sugarcane — Creates pale-blue sugarcane that restores vitality for up to an hour, improves stamina and recovery, and clears heat and toxins. 12
  • Blue Silver Vajra Bamboo Shoot — Provides defensive enhancement. 50
  • Blue Silver Lotus Seeds — Temporarily raises a Spirit Master's Soul Power limit, increases the number of Soul Skill uses, and extends skill duration. 55
  • Fire Jujube — Grants major strength enhancement; its initial increase is stated as approximately fifty-one percent. 124

Blue Silver Overlord Spear

Tang San's Ten-Thousand-Year fifth-ring skill is a single-target offensive ability with powerful piercing and lethal force. Its acquisition changed the Blue Silver Emperor's traits toward the Assault System, ending its previously pure support development. 193 194

  • Its offensive nature causes Tang San considerable regret because it conflicts with Xiao Xian's planned support path. 194
  • Tang San later describes the Blue Silver Grass as destroyed in the City of Slaughter, leaving the Clear Sky Hammer as his remaining Martial Soul. 197

Blue Silver Domain

Tang San possesses a Blue Silver Domain whose effects are particularly compatible with his former Food System support role. 198

  • The domain is described as lacking attack power. 198
  • Xiao Xian's Dragon Might Domain can suppress it. 198

Mysterious Heaven Skill and Tang Sect Techniques

Tang San cultivates the Mysterious Heaven Skill and applies its Soul Power control to movement, perception, hidden weapons, and combat. 6 55

  • Purple Demon Eye — Enhances vision; its Microscopic level lets Tang San read exceptionally tiny writing. 6 92
  • Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track — A rapid footwork technique using precise Soul Power circulation. 6
  • Mysterious Jade Hand — A Tang Sect hand technique that Tang San continues to cultivate. 17
  • Hidden weapons — Tang San uses concealed projectiles and recognizes advanced hidden-weapon designs such as the Godly Zhuge Crossbow. 13 225
  • Dragon Whisker Needles — A hidden-weapon gift left to him by Xiao Xian. 92

Self-Created Soul Skills

Tang San learned and adapted several self-created techniques from Xiao Xian, allowing him to fight far beyond the usual expectations of a Food System Spirit Master. 16 44

  • Violent Step — Uses explosive force for high-speed movement; at advanced stages, it can permit air-stepping. 44
  • Suction Palm — Pulls targets or objects toward the user. 44
  • Blowing Fire Palm — Produces a forceful outward blast capable of launching projectiles with destructive power. 44
  • Purple Jade Body — A body-protection art Xiao Xian left for Tang San; it resembles Mysterious Jade Hand but incorporates traits of Xiao Xian's second Soul Skill. 92

Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer

Tang San trained under Tang Hao for more than a year and mastered Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer. He can use the Clear Sky Hammer—or even his own fists as its striking head—to deliver immense force. 182 193

  • He used the technique to defeat Terror Knight Scott before entering the City of Slaughter. 195
  • Tang Hao considers the completed technique capable of crushing Xie Yue's Full Moon with one strike once Tang San's hammer reaches the appropriate level. 183

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Twenty-Four Bridges Moonlight Night — Storage Soul Tool carried by Tang San. 55
  • Dagger — Used to kill the Mandala Snake by striking inside its mouth. 11
  • Dragon Whisker Needles — Hidden weapon left by Xiao Xian on a hotel rooftop. 92
  • Hidden Arrow — A concealed weapon Xiao Xian taught Tang San and Xiao Wu to use. 19
  • Blacksmithing tools — Tang San works as an apprentice blacksmith and later runs a blacksmith shop while controlling his killing intent. 12 224

Relationships

  • Xiao Xian — Senior brother, sworn elder brother, mentor, and closest cultivation guide. Tang San trusts his theory, learns his self-created skills, and is deeply affected by his absence. 19 92 109
  • Grandmaster — Teacher and father figure. Tang San becomes his disciple at Nuoding Academy and saves him from Mandala Snake poison during their first soul hunt. 8 11
  • Tang Hao — Father and harsh trainer. Tang Hao guides Tang San's hammer training and later depends on him and Xiao Xian while severely injured. 182 209 224
  • Xiao Wu — Sworn sibling and close companion. They sparred from their earliest days at Nuoding and later share grief over Xiao Xian's departure. 6 19 92
  • Oscar — Shrek peer who recognizes Tang San's use of Xiao Xian's self-created techniques and assists with Tang San's requests. 44 183
  • Hu Liena — A tense encounter in the City of Slaughter; Tang San initially suspects she intends to harm Xiao Xian. 196
