Background / History

Brunhild was born from the Akalies knight family and the Shanixis saint family, making her the foremost noble heir in Jordan City. From an early age, she was trained under immense expectations and became Jordan's Valkyrie before reaching adulthood. At eighteen, she could defeat a top-tier Radiant-class Great Demon under extreme gravity training. 261

In the Golden Era, Brunhild was remembered as the Queen of Ice and Snow and Master of Winter. To escape pursuit, she sent her will into Subspace and faked her death. Her spiritual will later existed as the Valkyrie of the Perception World, while her former body remained as the White Wolf Template Creature. 290 299 317

The separation left both versions with incomplete memories and opposing paths. The White Wolf sought reunion and resistance against the Angels and God Race, while the Valkyrie initially remained committed to the Holy City and its people. 325

Appearance

Brunhild is a tall, striking young woman with silver-white hair and gray-blue eyes. Her appearance is repeatedly associated with silver light, knightly armor, and an almost sacred presence. 261 317 318

  • Long silver-white hair that flares outward when she is enraged or releases Radiance. 287 317
  • Gray-blue eyes shared by both Brunhild and the White Wolf. 261 324
  • Tall stature, described as not inferior to that of an ordinary man. 287
  • Wears a plain white nun's habit while serving at Sacred Mountain. 308
  • Can manifest delicate silver-white armor in battle. 318
  • Her White Wolf form is a massive silver-white wolf; at full Holy Relic activation, it possesses three heads and six wings. 300 324

Personality

Brunhild is proud, disciplined, and deeply committed to her self-imposed duty of protecting Jordan City. She trains relentlessly, accepts advice when faced with stronger enemies, and shows gratitude even for small acts of support from her maid. 261

Her sense of justice is sincere but initially shaped by her sheltered noble upbringing. Learning of Medeus's abuse and witnessing the exploitation of farmers and refugees forces her to confront the gap between the Holy City's ideals and its actions. 287 320 321

As a knight, Brunhild considers honesty an obligation. She is compassionate toward the oppressed, fiercely protective of those she loves, and unwilling to abandon people even when doing so places her against the church that raised her. 287 316 324 332

Story Role / Major Arcs

Jordan City's Valkyrie

Brunhild served as Jordan City's celebrated Valkyrie, training to protect the city while remaining loyal to Pope Mephides and the church. Mephides deemed the Willow Tree beyond her ability, but later entrusted her with Gungnir to eliminate the Enemy of the Empire. 261 279

After failing to eliminate the Willow Tree threat, Brunhild sought punishment from Mephides, demonstrating how seriously she took her duty. 285

Her first direct confrontation with the White Wolf ended in a stalemate. Brunhild refused to join it immediately, but was left unable to ignore the suffering caused under the Holy City's rule. 325

Journey Through the Trade City-States

After reaching the limit of the Third Life Level, Brunhild left Sacred Mountain with Medes to seek experience and confront her earlier defeats. 308 316

The journey exposed her to Holy Army slave-catchers, the betrayal of frightened villagers, Prince City's starving refugees, and the cruelty of Lord Dicarnon. These events shattered her faith in the nobles and church officials she had once served. 317 318 320 321

Break with Sacred Mountain

Brunhild joined the Holy Army at Jose City in an attempt to rescue Kuhlman, only to discover that he was commanding the Radiation Legion. Galon defeated and captured her, but she escaped and returned to Prince City. 329 330 331

Defense of Terraria

Brunhild fought Archangel Gres alongside the White Wolf and then prepared to confront the Fifth Life Level Eternal Blazing Sun herself. The Giant Serpent intervened before she could sacrifice herself in the attempt. 335
