Ch. 81Resurrection

Imhotep began resurrecting Anck-su-namun and nearly killed Evelyn, but O'Connell and Jonathan arrived to stop him. As O'Connell gained power through the Golden Greatsword and fought Imhotep's mummies, Wes revealed that he already had the Book of the Sun.

  • Imhotep bound Evelyn to the altar, used the Book of the Dead and five canopic jars to restore Anck-su-namun, then gave her a dagger to kill Evelyn.
  • O'Connell and Jonathan arrived, and O'Connell shot the dagger from Anck-su-namun's hand before Imhotep summoned more than a dozen mummies to attack them.
  • O'Connell caught Jonathan's Golden Greatsword and used it to cut down the mummies as golden light and new power surrounded him.
  • Evelyn told Jonathan that the Book of the Sun held an incantation to defeat Imhotep and was hidden in the statue of the sun god.
  • Wes produced a glowing golden book from his coat and asked if it was the book Evelyn meant.

Ch. 82Divine Descent

Wes confronted Imhotep over The Book of the Sun as O'Connell and the others tried to escape, but Amir sacrificed himself to get them past the scarabs. O'Connell then manifested Divine Descent and attacked Imhotep, while Wes tested his strength by launching ice weapons at him.

  • Imhotep demanded that Wes hand over The Book of the Sun, and O'Connell freed Evelyn while Jonathan tried to lead her out.
  • Imhotep sealed the exit and summoned scarabs, trapping O'Connell, Evelyn, and Jonathan until Amir blasted a way through with dynamite.
  • Amir charged Imhotep with his remaining dynamite, but Imhotep crushed him in a giant hand of sand before the explosives killed Amir.
  • Imhotep pursued O'Connell, Evelyn, and Jonathan, but O'Connell's Divine Descent severed Imhotep's right hand and sent golden flames at Anck-su-namun.
  • Imhotep blocked O'Connell's flames to protect Anck-su-namun, and Wes attacked O'Connell with ice weapons that struck an invisible barrier around him.

Ch. 83Judgment

Wes fought O'Connell after a god took control of him, but O'Connell killed Anck-su-namun and defeated Imhotep's final attack. O'Connell then returned to normal with no memory of what had happened, leaving Wes facing the weakened man.

  • Wes attacked O'Connell with his magical spheres, but O'Connell destroyed the assault and countered Wes's spells.
  • O'Connell's golden flames did not harm Wes, but he turned his sword on Anck-su-namun and Imhotep.
  • Anck-su-namun shielded Imhotep and was cut in two by O'Connell's sword.
  • Imhotep turned himself into a sandstorm and attacked O'Connell, but O'Connell gathered the sand into a sphere and nullified the strike.
  • Imhotep and Anck-su-namun turned into yellow sand and scattered, and O'Connell's golden flames vanished as he collapsed, confused and exhausted.

Ch. 84New Trouble

After the battle with It, Wes returned to Hogwarts and learned that Peter Pettigrew had escaped Ministry custody. Lucius then warned Wes that the Death Eaters planned to attack during the World Cup, and Wes and Dumbledore began planning how to stop them without exposing their informant.

  • Wes froze Evelyn and Jonathan, examined the weakened O'Connell, and gave him a restorative potion before O'Connell vanished in a flash of magical light.
  • Dumbledore told Wes that Peter Pettigrew had escaped after using rats to distract the Aurors escorting him.
  • Lucius told Wes that the Death Eaters wanted to cause chaos at the World Cup to prove their loyalty to the Dark Lord.
  • Wes asked Lucius to cooperate with the Death Eaters and report the attack's time and place, then confirmed that no one had followed him.
  • Wes returned to Hogwarts and discussed with Dumbledore how to stop the attack without revealing Lucius as an informant.
  • Dumbledore began writing a plan after an idea came to him.

Ch. 85Dark Currents Stirring

Wes attended the Quidditch World Cup and saw how the packed venue and overwhelmed Ministry could give the Death Eaters an opening to attack. After supporting Fred and George’s fireworks business, he entered a VIP box where Ministry officials and the Malfoys had gathered.

  • Dumbledore sent Lucius a World Cup ticket so his Auror friend could inspect the stadium’s security without exposing Lucius’s identity.
  • Wes reached the crowded stadium and observed Ministry officials struggling to control disputes and enforce safety rules.
  • Fred and George told Wes they were selling magical fireworks to raise money for a joke shop, and Wes bought some and praised their alchemical skill.
  • As the match approached, Wes used his VIP ticket to enter a private box with Cornelius Fudge, Barty Crouch, Ministry officials, and the Malfoys.

Ch. 86Little Kalarami

Wes watched the Quidditch World Cup while keeping alert for a Death Eater attack, then helped Mad-Eye Moody fight off the attackers. After returning to the box, he saw the Dark Mark appear above the stadium.

  • Wes sat with Arthur Weasley and the others as the Veela and Leprechauns performed before the Bulgaria-Ireland match.
  • Viktor Krum caught the Golden Snitch, ending the match with Bulgaria defeated.
  • Wes heard the Death Eaters' signal, left the box, and found more than a dozen Death Eaters attacking Mad-Eye Moody.
  • Wes killed several Death Eaters with spells, but the others escaped by Apparition; he then left before the Aurors arrived.
  • Wes returned to the box, where Fred and George celebrated winning their bet, and a huge bang announced the Dark Mark over the stadium.

Ch. 87Why Is There Another New Professor?

After the Quidditch World Cup descended into panic when someone cast the Dark Mark, Wes warned Dumbledore that a Death Eater might have escaped Azkaban. At Hogwarts, Wes confirmed that Alastor Moody was genuine as Dumbledore announced the Triwizard Tournament and canceled Quidditch for the year.

  • Wes told Dumbledore that Death Eaters had attacked the World Cup and an unknown person had cast the Dark Mark, then warned that Moody could be targeted and a Death Eater might have escaped Azkaban.
  • The Ministry suppressed news of the Dark Mark, but rumors spread, and Cornelius Fudge's position became precarious.
  • At Hogwarts's opening feast, Dumbledore introduced Alastor Moody as the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, and Wes watched him for signs that he was an impostor.
  • Moody thanked Wes for warning him about the Death Eaters, and Wes concluded that this was the real Moody.
  • Dumbledore announced that Hogwarts would host the Triwizard Tournament and that Quidditch matches would be canceled for the year.

Ch. 88Prelude 1

Moody trained Hogwarts students harshly in Defense Against the Dark Arts while sharing his views and combat knowledge with Wes. In October, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang arrived for the Triwizard Tournament, and Dumbledore unveiled the Goblet of Fire and its age restriction.

  • Moody criticized the Ministry to Wes, taught him fighting techniques, and insisted that students learn the dangers of dark forces through strict sparring lessons.
  • Hogwarts welcomed Madam Maxime and the Beauxbatons students, including Fleur Delacour, as their flying carriage arrived in the rain.
  • Karkaroff led the Durmstrang students ashore from a ship rising out of the lake and introduced Viktor Krum to Dumbledore.
  • At the welcoming feast, Dumbledore unveiled the Goblet of Fire and announced that it would select one champion from each school the following night.
  • Dumbledore established an Age Line to bar students under seventeen from entering, while younger students began considering ways around it.

Ch. 89Prelude 2

Fred and George tried to cross Dumbledore’s age line with Ageing Potion, then profited by selling it to other students who also failed. At the Triwizard Tournament ceremony, Harry Potter was named an unexpected fourth champion, and the headmasters agreed to accept the Goblet of Fire’s choice.

  • Fred and George drank Ageing Potion, crossed the age line, and were blasted back with white hair and long beards.
  • Fred and George sold Ageing Potion to students, many of whom tried and failed to cross the age line.
  • Dumbledore announced Viktor Krum, Fleur Delacour, and Cedric Diggory as the champions for their schools.
  • The Goblet of Fire produced a fourth name, Harry Potter, leaving the Great Hall in uproar.
  • Dumbledore had Professor McGonagall take Harry away and gathered the headmasters, Barty Crouch, and professors to discuss the result.
  • Karkaroff and Barty Crouch argued that Harry should participate, and the headmasters agreed to accept the Goblet of Fire’s choice.

Ch. 90Conspiracy

Wes, Dumbledore, and Moody deduced that Death Eaters had entered Harry in the Triwizard Tournament to use the Goblet of Fire as a Portkey, and agreed to follow Harry or Cedric when the plan was carried out. Wes then summoned Cedric to his office to prepare him for the danger.

  • Wes helped Dumbledore and Moody conclude that Death Eaters had entered Harry in the tournament to transport him away using the Goblet of Fire.
  • Wes persuaded Dumbledore and Moody to let the plan proceed so they could follow Harry and uncover the Death Eaters' intentions.
  • Dumbledore assigned Moody to protect Harry and Wes to protect Cedric, while Severus was to gather intelligence from Karkaroff.
  • Cedric came to Wes's office after being summoned, unsure why Wes wanted to see him.

Ch. 91Secret Special Training

Wes told Cedric that Death Eaters were behind the Triwizard Tournament and began secretly training him to survive their attacks. As the first task approached, Harry and Cedric grew closer through their exhausting training and discovered they had both learned the task involved a Fire Dragon.

  • Wes explained the suspected Death Eater conspiracy to Cedric and asked him to cooperate, but Cedric refused to withdraw from the tournament.
  • Cedric agreed to keep the plan secret, and Wes began training him with relentless combat exercises across the Forbidden Forest, Black Lake, and mountains.
  • Harry trained with Moody while Cedric trained with Wes, and the two champions became more familiar as they recovered together in the school hospital.
  • Madam Pomfrey scolded Harry and Cedric for their injuries and went to complain to Dumbledore about their training.
  • Harry told Cedric that the first task involved a Fire Dragon, and Cedric revealed he had come to share the same information, bringing the rivals closer.

Ch. 92You're Exactly Who We've Been Waiting For

The Triwizard Tournament’s first task ended with Cedric and Harry both impressing the crowd, but the final task’s Goblet of Fire transported them to Voldemort’s graveyard. Wes, Dumbledore, and Moody arrived just in time to deflect Voldemort’s attack and face him.

  • Cedric retrieved the golden egg from the Fire Dragon, and Harry followed by evading the dragon and obtaining his egg.
  • Before the final task, Wes gave Cedric a protective pocket watch and a Portkey glove, and Cedric entered the maze with Harry, Krum, and Fleur.
  • Harry and Cedric reached the Goblet of Fire together and vanished when it transported them away from Hogwarts.
  • In the Little Hangleton graveyard, Voldemort and the Death Eaters surrounded the injured Harry and Cedric, while Cedric’s pocket watch was destroyed protecting him from an attack.
  • Wes, Dumbledore, and Moody arrived through the Portkey, and Wes deflected Voldemort’s curse before telling Cedric to leave the rest to them.

Ch. 93Three-Minute Battle

Wes sealed the graveyard and defeated the Death Eaters in less than three minutes while Dumbledore fought Voldemort. With the Death Eaters gone, Wes stepped into the duel to face Voldemort alongside Dumbledore.

  • Wes trapped the Death Eaters inside a magical dome and attacked them as Dumbledore dueled Voldemort and Moody guarded Harry and Cedric.
  • Wes defended himself against a coordinated barrage, animated a tree into a treant, and used it to overpower the Death Eaters.
  • Wes turned the ground into a swamp and intensified his Gravity Curse, leaving the remaining Death Eaters unable to escape or resist.
  • Wes ended the battle without leaving any Death Eaters alive, then restored the graveyard and turned toward Dumbledore and Voldemort.
  • Wes stepped into the duel, and Voldemort angrily accused him of ruining his plans.

Ch. 94The Death of Voldemort

Wes and Dumbledore defeated Voldemort, forced him to reveal his secrets, and Dumbledore killed him, but Nagini escaped. After returning to Hogwarts, Wes and Moody searched for Barty Crouch Jr., who had vanished from the Durmstrang quarters.

  • Wes and Dumbledore overwhelmed Voldemort, bound him, drained his magic, and used enhanced Veritaserum to question him about his Horcruxes, Death Eaters, and resurrection.
  • Dumbledore killed Voldemort and buried him in the Riddle Family cemetery, while Moody, Harry, and Cedric captured Peter Pettigrew.
  • Cedric told Wes and Dumbledore that a huge snake had escaped through an underground hole, and Wes explained that the barrier could not extend beneath the ground.
  • Dumbledore restored the cemetery, instructed Harry and Cedric to keep the events secret, and returned with them to Hogwarts.
  • Wes and Moody found the Durmstrang Institute quarters empty while searching for Barty Crouch Jr.; Moody took Peter Pettigrew and pursued a trace, while Wes returned to Hogwarts with Pettigrew.

Ch. 95Debrief

After Moody failed to capture a fugitive, Dumbledore told him and Wes that Karkaroff and Barty Crouch were dead and discussed destroying Voldemort’s Horcruxes. Dumbledore gave Wes his magical notes, and Moody took Peter Pettigrew to the Ministry, where he confronted Cornelius Fudge.

  • Moody returned to Hogwarts frustrated after the fugitive escaped, and Dumbledore told him and Wes that Karkaroff and Barty Crouch had been killed.
  • Dumbledore identified Gaunt's Ring, Ravenclaw's Diadem, Hufflepuff's Cup, and Slytherin's Locket as Horcruxes, while Moody left with Peter Pettigrew for Azkaban.
  • Dumbledore gave Wes a notebook of magical insights and urged him to stay on the right path.
  • Wes returned to his office and began planning how to study his newly acquired magical knowledge.
  • Moody brought Peter Pettigrew to Cornelius Fudge, who objected that Moody was no longer an Auror, and Moody blamed the Ministry for letting Pettigrew escape.

Ch. 96Voodoo Doll

After Fudge erupted over Dumbledore’s influence, Dumbledore and Wes destroyed Ravenclaw’s Diadem, then Wes searched for a way to extract energy from the Philosopher’s Stone without letting its wronged souls overwhelm Jandi. Wes realized a voodoo doll might transfer the ritual’s damage to someone else.

  • Moody confronted Fudge about clearing Sirius Black’s charges after Peter Pettigrew was captured, and Fudge angrily asserted his authority as Minister for Magic.
  • Moody warned Dumbledore that Fudge was planning to move against him, while Dumbledore said that finding and destroying Voldemort’s Horcruxes came first.
  • Dumbledore and Wes found Ravenclaw’s Diadem in the Room of Requirement and destroyed it with Fiendfyre, burning Voldemort’s soul fragment inside.
  • Dumbledore left Professor McGonagall in charge of daily school affairs and gave Wes some of the headmaster’s authority, including the ability to Apparate within Hogwarts.
  • Harry and Cedric grew close after their experiences in the Triwizard Tournament, while Harry struggled with his feelings for Cho Chang.
  • Wes realized that a voodoo doll could take the damage from the Philosopher’s Stone ritual in Jandi’s place.

Ch. 97Secret Meeting

Wes visited Black Manor, where he recovered and joined the Order of the Phoenix as they faced the remaining Horcruxes and growing political turmoil. After Dementors abandoned Azkaban and all its prisoners escaped, Lucius Malfoy secretly summoned Wes to meet at The Leaky Cauldron.

  • Wes cleaned Black Manor, silenced Kreacher, and rested in a room full of books.
  • The Weasleys, Moody, and other Order of the Phoenix members gathered at Black Manor to discuss the remaining Horcruxes and Fudge's campaign against Dumbledore.
  • Dumbledore defended himself at a hearing over Karkaroff and Barty Crouch's deaths, but Fudge sent investigators to Hogwarts.
  • The Dementors deserted Azkaban, allowing every prisoner to escape and spreading fear across the wizarding world.
  • Lucius Malfoy arranged a secret meeting with Wes at The Leaky Cauldron, where Wes cast several spells after taking his seat.

Ch. 98The Secret of Black Manor

Wes learned that Voldemort’s escaped Death Eaters were gathering supplies and planning to recruit dark creatures, then shared the intelligence with Dumbledore. The two discussed delaying Voldemort’s resurrection and learned that Slytherin’s Locket was with the missing House-elf Kreacher.

  • Lucius told Wes that Barty Crouch Jr. had gathered escaped Death Eaters, including Bellatrix Lestrange, Severus Snape, and Peter Pettigrew, and gave him their supply list.
  • Wes told Lucius to keep wearing his protective ring, cooperate with the Death Eaters, and use its Portkey if he needed help.
  • Wes returned to Black Manor and told Dumbledore about the Death Eaters’ plans to ally with werewolves, giants, and vampires and obtain rare ingredients.
  • Dumbledore said Snape could approach Voldemort when the time came, while Wes and Dumbledore agreed Voldemort’s resurrection potion would not be completed before the Horcruxes were destroyed.
  • Dumbledore showed Wes Marvolo Gaunt’s ring, and Wes revealed that Slytherin’s Locket was with the missing Kreacher.

Ch. 99Alchemy Array

Sirius forced Kreacher to surrender Slytherin’s Locket, and Kreacher revealed how Regulus had sacrificed himself trying to thwart Voldemort. Wes then activated an Alchemy Array to destroy the locket and Marvolo Gaunt’s Ring, leaving the Order watching as the artifacts began to turn.

  • Sirius summoned Kreacher and compelled him to hand over Slytherin’s Locket.
  • Kreacher revealed that Regulus had taken the locket from Voldemort’s cave and died after ordering Kreacher to destroy it.
  • Sirius learned of Regulus’s sacrifice, and Dumbledore urged him to focus on destroying the locket.
  • Sirius reassured Kreacher that they would destroy Voldemort and avenge Regulus, James, and Lily.
  • Wes completed and activated an Alchemy Array with Slytherin’s Locket and Marvolo Gaunt’s Ring at its center.

Ch. 100All Caught in One Net

Wes destroyed two Horcruxes and then trapped and captured five Death Eaters in Brocéliande Forest. He brought Bellatrix Lestrange back to Black Manor, where Moody asked whether the mission had succeeded.

  • Wes used an Alchemy Array to destroy two Horcruxes, while Dumbledore recovered the Resurrection Stone from Marvolo Gaunt's Ring.
