By the time Su Bai returned to Shanshui Diepin, it was practically midnight.
Wan Xinyan was making a late-night snack.
After looking around the house, Su Bai did not see Senior Sister Xiaolu, so he asked Wan Xinyan. She said that Senior Sister Xiaolu had gone to help Lu Yuning tidy up her room and had brought over some bedding and daily necessities. They had plenty of those supplies at home, many of them big-name brands that were hard to buy at supermarkets.
Since she was one of their own, they simply gave them to her.
"Not bad, meow." Su Bai nodded. "Wait, so where did Lu Yuning end up renting a place?"
"At Ascott, of course, but in the building next door. The units over there are smaller. Lu Yuning said she didn't dare live alone in such a big apartment."
"What did she mean?"
"She said she's afraid of ghosts."
"..."
What a fresh and unconventional reason!
Su Bai was so exasperated that he almost laughed. In a sense, among all the girls around him, Lu Yuning might have had the youngest mental age, despite being the oldest in actual years.
Well, she was not that much older. A twenty-three-year-old woman was still in her prime.
By comparison, eighteen-year-old Wan Xinyan still possessed unbeatable youthful vitality, yet she was completely unafraid of ghosts. That was a good thing, though not necessarily entirely good.
As for innocence, sweetness, and adorable foolishness...
Wan Xinyan seemed to have thought of the same thing. Wrinkling her cute little nose, she said somewhat sourly, "Sister Yuning really is so adorable. Boohoo, Su Bai's new favorite really is... ah~"
Su Bai curled his fingers and tapped her on the head, saying irritably, "What new favorite? We're still just colleagues with a perfectly innocent relationship."
