The private screening room reminded Su Bai of the classrooms where music students trained back in his high school.
Everything was done in dark, muted tones, with soundproofing material on the walls. Stepping inside gave him a sense of quiet seclusion.

"Is this your first time watching a movie with a girl, Student Su?" Xia Lin asked casually from beside him, idly playing with a loose strand of hair by her temple.
"More or less. Well, if you don't count childhood sweethearts." Su Bai smiled faintly. "I had a childhood friend who lived across the hall from my family. I remember our parents taking us to the movies together when we were little. I think it was some American blockbuster, but I've forgotten what it was about... It probably wasn't as good as the Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf movie."
For children, it was often difficult to have the patience to truly appreciate a movie.
That was why movie theaters were always filled with the sounds of children making a fuss.
"That definitely doesn't count. Childhood sweethearts usually don't develop in that boyfriend-girlfriend direction, right? After all, they know each other too well."
"True enough."
