Reunion with Wan Tiancheng

Bo City was the commandery seat of Qian Commandery, located in its central-southern region. Ringed by mountains on all sides, with only two official roads leading north and south, it was the most prosperous place in Qian Commandery.

Apart from the one valley and two sects, the Yun and Tie families among the four great Lineages, as well as the headquarters of the Jingxiao Alliance and Chuan Family Association among the five great gangs, were all built within Bo City. They checked one another while jointly dominating the city and extending their influence across Qian Commandery.

Xiang Yang and the others disembarked at a fork in the main channel of the Luo River. Since Bo City was surrounded by mountains, they traveled another stretch of mountain road before Zhu Biao led them to the Jingxiao Alliance headquarters within the city.

The Jingxiao Alliance occupied the southwestern side of Bo City, covering five hundred mu. Before its front gate lay a training ground where countless gang members honed their martial arts, their shouts ringing out without cease each day. The ground was surrounded by all eighteen kinds of weapons. Xiang Yang saw that the martial instructors either possessed accomplished inner strength or wielded ruthless, domineering external techniques. Clearly, these gang members had genuine skill beneath their hands as well.

The area beyond the middle gate housed the gang members without families. Rows of stone houses stood neat and orderly, much like staff dormitories. According to Zhu Biao, a pack of wolf-like young, burly men lived here every day without contact with the outside world, able only to pour all their energy into martial training. Their progress was exceptionally swift.
