Roa ambled out of the castle.
I need to find someone to guide me first.
As he thought this, a shadow fell over him.
"Hey! Kid! That doesn't count! Let's do it again!"
Roa looked up.
Loki, wrapped in bandages, his face almost completely covered, was glaring at him.
Roa's eyes darted around, then he put on a serious expression. "That won't do. Even pirates have their honor. I can't bully an injured person!"
Loki froze for a moment.
Is this guy actually decent?
He had thought that this guy, who treated people like puppets and didn't care if they died, was no good.
Loki thumped his chest forcefully. "Don't look down on me, kid! Cough cough cough... I'm not hurt... cough... I'm not hurt at all... cough cough... not at all!"
Roa watched Loki, who coughed violently with every thump but still insisted he was fine, and couldn't help but click his tongue. His wounds were bleeding.
What a stubborn guy.
Even for an Ancient Giant Tribe member, a stab to the lungs wouldn't feel good, right?
"In the end, you just want to join the Rocks Pirates, don't you?"
A smile spread across Roa's cute little face.
"So what if I do?"
Loki's voice softened.
"So what?"
Roa put his hands on his hips, his face full of arrogance. "Hah, I think you have no idea! Standing before you is the youngest executive of the Rocks Pirates, the child with the highest bounty in the world, Mr. Roa, who joined the Rocks Pirates at the age of five."
"Oh!"
Loki's mouth fell open. "You kid, are you really that strong?"
"Could there be any doubt?"
Roa gave him a meaningful look. "Do you know why the captain rejected you?"
Loki shook his head blankly.
Rocks said he didn't like brats, but this guy in front of him was even more of a brat.
"Exactly. You don't even know why you were rejected, so how could you not be rejected?"
Roa looked like he was teaching a promising student.
"R-really?"
Loki scratched his head, feeling like this kid's words were a bit convoluted.
The future cunning and sinister Curse Prince, who spent years with wild beasts, wasn't very sharp-witted.
"But it's okay,"
Roa crossed his arms and said earnestly, "I'll teach you how to join the Rocks Pirates!"
"You're serious?"
Loki was surprised.
"Of course!"
Roa jumped up and landed directly on Loki's shoulder. "But before that, you have to take me to see the murals of the Hale Divine Canon."
"Murals? You're interested in that kind of thing?"
Loki instinctively started to step forward, but then stopped. He looked suspicious. "You're not tricking me, are you?"
"How could I?"
Roa smiled. "With your handsome looks, who could possibly trick you?"
"That's true! The murals, right? Let's go!"
And so, the journey of the two boys began.
Loki, as expected of someone who could survive being repeatedly stabbed by Shamrock's dog sword in the future, had a monstrous physique. A stab to the lungs by Roa seemed like child's play. Blood flowed down his chest as he carried Roa, speeding through the village.
The village was called West Village, a village of warriors.
The giants of the Giant Soldier Pirates basically came from this village. Aunt Linlin also lived here for a year back then.
Loki wasn't very popular here. Despite being the future heir to the kingdom, most of the giants he saw would immediately turn their heads away. Only a few would greet Loki.
Tsk, even giants get bullied.
Fortunately, the strong people in this world were generally thick-skinned, and Loki didn't care about the atmosphere at all.
He whisked Roa away without even looking up, sprinting at full speed.
A helmeted little giant blocked their path midway, wanting to say something, but Loki, focused only on running, crashed right into him and sent him flying.
Thought he was a speed bump.
Go tell Loki's king dad about it!
Roa glanced back at the little giant scrambling to his feet in a sorry state.
Oh, this guy's dad should be Harald too.
Healding.
Loki's half-brother, the gap is really too big.
Soon, Loki had already rushed out of the village, sprinting along an extremely thick branch.
Before long, the two had passed through the dense leaves and approached the main trunk of the Adam Tree.
They could already see it, the giant mural on the distant trunk.
That was the prophecy painting left behind during the Void Century.
"Ohoho! Truly remarkable!"
Roa stood on Loki's shoulders, getting closer to the mural.
Even though he already knew the content of the mural, seeing it with his own eyes made him feel genuinely awestruck.
"Is it that remarkable?"
Loki said indifferently, "In the end, it's just a painting."
"No, it's not,"
Roa's lips curved upwards, "It's the predetermined past, and the future that I will change."
"Huh?"
Loki looked bewildered, "The future changed by you?"
What does he mean?
The mural recorded the truth of the world.
The mural was divided into three parts, dividing history from ancient to present into three worlds, corresponding to the three chapters of the Hale Divine Canon passed down by the giants.
In the first world, humans trespassed upon the forbidden sun. In the wish of a slave, the first Sun God was born, likely the one worshipped by the giants. His enemies were the Earth God and the Serpent of Blazing Fire.
In the middle world, the Forest God sent down a demon, perhaps referring to the birth of the Devil Fruit. The second Sun God, Joy Boy, ignited a war, but someone slew the Sun God and took his place. The Sea God was thus enraged, perhaps referring to a rise in sea levels.
The third world is the future world. The third Sun God brings the dawn, opening a new era. This goes without saying, it refers to Luffy, of course.
Although it was also full of riddles, like what the Earth God, Serpent of Blazing Fire, Forest God, Sea God, Half-Moon People, and Full-Moon People referred to, he had no idea.
But combined with the mural itself, it revealed a lot of information.
The first world seemed to have the most prosperous civilization, with towering buildings.
In the second world, a great dragon perched at the top of the great tree. Was this dragon Imu? Is that why the Celestial Dragons call themselves Celestial Dragons?
In the third world, Luffy's final opponent is a demon wielding a sun. Who is this person? Blackbeard?
It's truly intriguing.
I guess I traveled too early; this world is still full of countless mysteries.
"Since you're interested in this place,"
Loki suddenly spoke, "Would you like to see another place?"
"Oh?"
So, shortly after, Loki brought Roa to the outside of a massive building.
"Whoa!"
Roa exclaimed, almost forgetting. There was also this place.
Before him stood a colossal structure, perfectly integrated with the branches of the Adam Tree, even having a crown at its apex.
The main body of this structure was a massive robot. Although it had been transformed into a building, its silhouette was still clearly visible.
"They say it's a robot from three thousand years ago!"
Loki chuckled, "Super cool, right?"
"Indeed, it's awesome."
Who doesn't love giant robots?
This guy must have been the first Sun God's companion, right?
Come to think of it, every generation of Sun God has a robotic companion.
Joy Boy's Emmett, Luffy's Franky.
"Alright! I've shown you everything you wanted to see!"
Loki got down to business, "You should tell me how I can join the Rocks Pirates now, right?"
"No rush,"
Roa stretched, "I still need to provide good after-sales service, don't I? Send me back first."
"You scoundrel!"
Loki shouted and bolted back the way he came.
