He checked the date on the wall clock. Less than five days had passed since he left.

If not for the memories and technologies in his mind remaining so vivid and real, Luke Fielder would have thought it had all been a dream.

The Intelligent System of the secluded laboratory detected its Master's return and came alive from its dormancy. Robots of every type roamed about, adding a touch of life to the cold, silent laboratory.

The lounge door opened.

Loyal Rudd lay on the floor like a living dog, its paws crossed beneath its lowered head as it guarded the lounge entrance without moving. The moment it saw Luke Fielder emerge, it immediately rose, approached him with its head lowered, and wagged its metal tail.

"Good. Lift the highest security protocols and tell Ina that my seclusion is over." Luke Fielder rubbed Rudd's large metal head. Remembering the Little Mechanical Axehead he had left behind in the Pacific Rim World, its control handed over to Shao Zhiwen, he could not help rubbing Rudd twice more. He hoped Shao Zhiwen would take good care of it.

Luke casually pulled over a chair and sat down. Closing his eyes, he immersed his consciousness in his mind. He wanted to see what he had gained this time.

"Your Unlock Mission has been completed."

"You have met the Unlock Condition."

"Your Talent Card: Creator Luke attributes have been updated."

"You have received a large amount of Gold Coins."

The long-missed series of notifications rang urgently through Luke Fielder's mind. He swept them aside for the moment. What he cared about now were the updated attributes of his Talent Card.

Luke Fielder was delighted to see that the prompt behind the Concept Extraction talent actually said it could be unlocked. He eagerly tapped it, but nothing happened.
