The Dark Warrior suddenly opened his eyes. Before him was an incomparably black darkness. It was as if his eyes had been covered by a black cloth, robbing him of the ability to see. Yet the Dark Warrior could feel that his eyes were perfectly intact.
He floated in a profound void, unable to see, surrounded by silence without even a trace of light.
The deepest darkness lay all around him.
This was the world Dark Elves loved most.
It was also the world Malekith had most wanted to create.
Yet the Dark Warrior felt none of the peace and joy he should have found in this darkness. Instead, his sixth sense was faintly warning him, as if some unknown danger lurked within the dark.

He tried to contact his King, but the specialized communicator King had specifically given him before leaving went dead in the darkness. No matter how much Aether Energy the Dark Warrior poured into it to power it, there was not the slightest response.
