In his view, what had already happened could not be undone for the time being. They had to nip any future tragedies in the bud.
"You know that murderer?" A humanoid woman with somewhat unusual skin stepped out from behind Hal.
"You didn't tell them?" Wayne glanced at Hal.
"I didn't know how to put it." Hal shook his head heavily. "I've been traveling nonstop these past few days. Their energy was completely drained, and I had to protect them."
