"Put it down! I order you, Highest Directive! Put it down!"
Luthor invoked his authority, but the means he used to control Doomsday had no effect. Under everyone's wary, restless gazes, Doomsday fired a blazing, multicolored beam toward the White Cocoon where Thanos was.
"Don't do this, buddy!" Hal moved with incredible speed, blocking the beam. He crossed his arms before him as white light rippled across his body and formed a shield in front of him, yet the beam still forced him backward toward the White Cocoon.
A leaf had suddenly fallen onto the surface of a calm, unruffled lake. The stillness of the water could no longer be maintained. Under Hal's despairing gaze, the stillness field was affected by the force pushing it sideways, breaking the seal it had maintained.
Cracks appeared across the White Cocoon, and blazing white radiance shone through them, like light in the darkness—dazzling and brilliant!
"Mental Infection."
Wayne murmured it instinctively.
"What Mental Infection?" Luthor was still shocked by Doomsday's loss of control. Hearing Wayne's murmur, he looked at him as though he had found the answer.
At that moment, Doomsday was wrapped in a thick white Energy Shield. The shield bought him some time and blocked Clark and the others' attacks.
"I should have thought of it. As Luke's creation, how could it possess only the power of the Emotional Spectrum?" Wayne had realized what everyone had overlooked. The Emotional Spectrum's presence had simply been too overwhelming, and the battle too intense, for anyone to notice it at first.
"What exactly do you mean?" Luthor had already heard something ominous in Wayne's words. He disliked this loss of control. Especially when someone who had not even shown their face had caused them trouble time and again, even seizing control of his creation.
