Having broken free of the Mind Illusion, Wayne looked at the projection of Middle-aged Luke, who was calmly waiting for them where he stood.
"That depends on you," Middle-aged Luke said softly.
"So if we choose to keep resisting, this scene will happen in our universe?" Wayne asked again.
"I don't think you realize how serious this is, do you?" Though Wayne's tone was calm and even, Luke could still hear the resolve hidden beneath it. Reading the emotional fluctuations of living beings was what he did best.
"You're threatening us!" Hal snapped after regaining his senses.
"No, we're saving you," Middle-aged Luke retorted.
"We don't need your salvation. We'd be thanking the heavens if you'd just stop causing us trouble," Aquaman Arthur said.
"Will you really not regret it? Even if it means your universe will be forever plunged into the Abyss?" A strange expression appeared on Middle-aged Luke's face.
"Fearmongering." Hal frowned.
"Is it? Has any of you studied Luke's energy?" Middle-aged Luke asked.

"Then you must understand how powerful and complex this energy is. But I have to remind you that even if you are geniuses cursed by knowledge in your respective universe, there is still a gap in your understanding of this energy."
"I don't know whether Captain has told you, but this energy is a double-edged sword. Just as people can be good or bad, emotions can be positive or negative. Its negative side is the Abyss," Middle-aged Luke explained at length.
