"What are those for?"
Having learned all of Grommash's plans, Garada's gaze suddenly fell on the cylindrical pillars planted around the camp. They radiated a power that soothed and calmed him. Fine patterns and rough-hewn carvings covered their surfaces.
"Those are Priest Totems." Grommash noticed where Garada was pointing and smiled. "They were made using techniques taught by the High Priestess. They can connect with one's spirit, allowing gifted orcs to sense the power of the elements faster and more easily.
Simply put, they will make Shamans far less scarce among the orc clans."
"Really?" Garada stared at the Totem Poles in shock, his eyes full of envy. To a clan, a Shaman was practically a pillar of its soul. They could guide the clan's future and help it avoid great dangers. Even in war, they could summon the elements and use them for sweeping attacks, reducing their clan's casualties or securing victory!
Shamans did not necessarily exist only in large clans, but possessing one allowed a clan to swiftly expand and grow into a large clan.
"You want one?" Grommash asked bluntly.
"Of course." Garada did not hide his thoughts. Most orcs were like that.
"The High Priestess is not stingy when it comes to granting us power. You can send gifted orcs from your clan here. If they awaken the ability to wield the elements, the Shaman Priests here will teach them with all they have. I guarantee it. And if you earn merits for the High Priestess in the future, she may even create Totemic Power unique to your clan." Grommash smiled.
A flicker of temptation appeared on Garada's face.
To him, nothing was more tempting than increasing his clan's strength and making it more powerful. The entire history of the orcs revolved around one word: strength.
