Ner'zhul jolted awake from his dream. Once again, he thought of the message the Ancestral Spirits had revealed to him. That message was so dark and suffocating that merely recalling it filled his entire body with despair.
The Ancestral Spirits had told him that Draenor was dying. A powerful Dark Force was growing within it, and if no solution could be found, Draenor would have no future.
Ner'zhul had wanted to ask the Ancestral Spirits where the darkness had come from and what had caused it, but his questions received no answer. The Ancestral Spirits seemed to have undergone some unknown change. Since then, he had lost the ability to communicate with them.
They no longer answered any of his questions or calls.
"Will the dead evil dragons be reborn?
"Or is it the constant disasters of late, causing life to wither away?
"Or perhaps that mysterious High Priestess?"
Ner'zhul could only speculate based on the information at hand, but no matter what, he could not determine where the danger truly came from.
