Luke heard a faint, barely perceptible whisper. It was so weak, yet so "clear." The source of the whisper came from the separated Naaru corpse.
Luke looked through the information Hecate had gathered for him about the Dark Star.
According to information passed down through generations of the Shadowmoon Clan, this Dark Star, known by names such as Exalted Father and Dark Mother, had appeared above the Shadowmoon Clan's homeland several centuries ago.
Influenced by the mysterious power of this celestial body, the Shadowmoon Clan's shamans gained unprecedented strength. They acquired the ability to communicate with the elements and their ancestors. Because of this star's appearance, the Orcs living nearby at the time began calling themselves the Shadowmoon Clan.
However, after some time, certain Orcs of the Shadowmoon Clan heard voices from within the dark celestial body, voices known as Void Whispers. They gained the power of the void and began desecrating the souls of their ancestors.
These whispers led the Shadowmoon Chieftain at the time to believe that the Dark Star was evil, and he issued an order forbidding contact with the power of the void.
In other words, the so-called power of the void was Shadow Power opposed to the Holy Light. Its wielders were the so-called Old Gods. It was an extremely dangerous force, highly contaminating, capable of corrupting and twisting living souls, causing them to fall.
"Is this trying to corrupt me?"
Luke accepted and absorbed that meaningless whisper with almost no resistance. However, though he was merely an avatar temporarily disconnected from his true body, with the Dragon Tower's energy empowering him, he himself was a massive source of corruption no less potent than the so-called Old Gods.
If an Old God tried to corrupt each other with him, it was hard to say who
