Sylvanas Windrunner lowered her bow and cursed under her breath.

Those brown-skinned Orcs moved through the forest with unexpected agility, utterly at odds with their heavy, muscular bodies. Their use of the terrain was especially astonishing. Though this was clearly their first time in Silvermoon Forest, they moved through it like fish in water, as if they were the natives who had lived here for thousands of years.

Just as she took aim, they would vanish from her sight. The trees and terrain of the forest became their finest cover and shelter.

Even though she knew this stretch of forest like the back of her hand, and even though her arrows had ample penetrating power, shooting based solely on memory and instinct often failed to achieve the desired result.

So far, they had not managed to stop any of the Orcs ahead. If not for her decent tracking skills and familiarity with the area, she would have lost them long ago given how slippery they were.

Even now, they were only barely keeping up, struggling to prevent the Orcs from shaking off their pursuit completely and escaping.

"Have the reinforcements not arrived yet?" Alleria Windrunner, one of the three sisters, asked. Their squad of tall Elves moved swiftly through the forest, stopping only occasionally to inspect their surroundings, identify traces of the Orcs' movements, and follow from a distance.

The Orcs were even cunning enough to leave false trails, attempting to lure them in the wrong direction. But such tricks could not fool the Windrunner Sisters. They always quickly noticed something was wrong, returned to where they had started, reassessed the direction, and resumed tracking. After several attempts, this method of misleading them had completely failed.

The Orcs had clearly realized this later on, so they simply abandoned
