Advanced spells that had once come at her fingertips now met with intense resistance. Not only had their energy consumption increased, but even she herself could no longer be certain whether a casting would succeed.
As one of the world's foremost Archmages, although she could no longer compare to her peak after relinquishing the Guardian's power, the knowledge she possessed, the techniques she had mastered, and the secrets she knew were still hers.
She was confident that even now, she had no reason to fear the Council of Tirisfal that had split from her. Besides, after stepping down as Guardian, she had not remained stagnant. At the very least, she had learned a new Magic System from her magical confidante, Agatha.
Though it was somewhat incompatible with Azeroth's arcane and other magical powers, it could still be used with some adjustments. All she needed was a sufficiently vast Energy Source that met the requirements.
And Aegwynn already had a target in mind for that Energy Source.

As the tower Tyrant King Bakal had created by pouring everything he had into gathering countless precious materials and unknown knowledge from across the world, it naturally contained immense power.
Aegwynn had never seen the Well of Eternity, so she could not compare them. But she had experienced the Sunwell of Quel'Thalas's Elven Empire. In terms of energy alone, the Dragon Tower could be regarded as the Sunwell of human mages.
It was simply too sensitive a location. Though she had not returned the key in her possession after stepping down as Guardian, she had still drawn Dalaran's focused scrutiny and vigilance.
