"Why are you helping me?" Little Harry's tone was complicated. Over this period of time, he had seen too many ugly faces, too much betrayal and darkness. It had cast a huge shadow over his heart. He had even begun distancing himself from Peter, whom he had been close to since childhood.
Because he did not know how to face him. This period had made him feel as if an enormous chasm had suddenly opened between them. He wanted to tell someone about the vulnerability and grievance in his heart, but apart from himself, there was no one he could tell. Nor would he tell anyone.
Big Harry's appearance had undoubtedly shocked him, but it had also inexplicably given him a little more joy and something to rely on. It was as if, amid a raging storm, he was no longer walking alone. His closest and most unfamiliar companion was walking alongside him.
He had not expected an answer from that question. He was merely speaking from the heart, letting down his guard and easing his tense mind in front of Big Harry.
"Why am I helping you?" Big Harry was momentarily stunned. Seeing the complicated expression on Little Harry's face, then recalling the turmoil surrounding Oscorp in the news reports, he somewhat understood how the other person was feeling.
"Mutual aid."
Big Harry did not say anything like, "You are me." Such words meant nothing to him. In his universe, he had seen too many parallel versions who felt nothing for each other, or even opposed each other to the death over certain matters.
Big Harry simply did not believe in saying, I am you, so I choose to help you.
Of course, it could not be denied that some parallel versions in the Multiverse got along very well.
