Doom's body swelled with one pustule after another. As they burst, fine tentacles mixed with his organs sprayed out, turning to ash the moment they touched the air.

Or rather, a weapon capable of destroying psionic structures. This was contamination fighting contamination.
In that instant, the psionic Mechanical Life and psionic elemental summons all collapsed to the ground. The power they had dispersed, carrying devoured life force and energy, flowed back into Doom's body, repairing his battered form under his control.
