The vast black liquid became a tsunami-like tide, washing over the land below amid the black torrential rain. Buildings corroded in the black flood, then broke apart and were swallowed by the black waves.
No one could withstand this black tsunami. Every form of resistance was like a mantis trying to stop a chariot. The area beneath the void in the sky had already become a forbidden zone for life. Anyone who dared enter it would rapidly be corrupted, mutated, and killed.
An inky-black stain on Apokolips was spreading at an inconceivable speed, seemingly poised to blanket the entire planet.
Darkseid, aboard the satellite, had realized that something was wrong. He could sense the Parademons Army under his command dying in rapidly escalating and incalculable numbers. Apokolips seemed to have become a meat grinder; no matter how many troops were sent in, they were instantly devoured without a trace. The expanding black-stained region on Apokolips, in particular, gave him an intensely dangerous instinctive warning.

Its level was not in the slightest inferior to the Omega Effect and Anti-Life Equation he possessed. It might even be stronger. It was so extreme! So filthy! So dark! Even he, whose heart was as unyielding as stone, could not help wanting to stay far away when he sensed that power.
No life could ignore such power. Even as one of the New Gods Race of the universe, he was no exception!
But no matter how unwilling he was, Darkseid could not simply watch Apokolips fall before his eyes and be destroyed by an unknown force without putting up any resistance!
