"Mr. Lack?" The controlled puppet glanced at Lack, who was blocking his path with the Mechanical Security Squad.
"You don't need to go in. Mr. Orm and Ms. Stini can go in to see the Boss," Lack said expressionlessly.
The controlled puppet instinctively looked at the disguised Purple Man and Jessica. Seeing the Purple Man give an inconspicuous nod, he immediately breathed a sigh of relief, took a step back, and made way.
The Purple Man followed Lack into the laboratory, while Jessica, disguised as Stini, trailed behind them. Her gaze remained fixed on Lack's neck and other vital points. The moment she received the Purple Man's command, she was confident she could snap his neck from behind at the fastest possible speed.
The Purple Man followed the silent Lack forward, his eyes darting around as he surveyed their surroundings. He had already used his ability, targeting Lack, who was leading the way. Yet to his surprise, the man's resistance seemed unusually high. The unease he had only just suppressed rose inexplicably again.
He quietly made a hand signal to Jessica behind him, one that only the two of them understood.

Lack led the Purple Man and Jessica to a metal door. He pressed the palm print of his intact left hand against the door's unlocking device, and once it opened, he spoke to them.
The Purple Man cautiously poked his head in for a look. Sure enough, someone stood in the room, waving his arms as he busily worked on one floating Virtual Screen after another. The figure perfectly matched the image of Luke in his mind. Seeing his target before him, the Purple Man relaxed. At Lack's gesture, he led Jessica into the room.
